I posted this in another thread, but this should be useful to get a 100% FULL offline method for 4.5-9.2:

Just plop that thing into the 3DS SD Slot, connect your 3DS to it, and visit http:/mysdcard/gateway/ (with proper files already setup)

No, it's just that the 3ds web browser wasn't updated from 7.1 to 9.4, but the next (9.5?) update will update the browser and change the version.

This means the first stage will work on 9.4, but stage 2 (the arm11 ninjhax exploit) will fail, since it's patched in 9.3 & 9.4.

So, I'm a bit messed with 3 different tutorials.

I have downloaded Shadowtrance's files.
But... what now? How I do to run exploit through my android without data or wifi?

Your phone must be capable of creating a hotspot or ad hoc network. I am not talking about tethering but about a special feature to create a WiFi network so that other devices can connect to your smartphone not to have internet, but maybe to share things with them

I think some smartphones don't include this feature so you would need an app for it. If you have an LG it does. I've tested

Tethering is using your mobile data in other devices. That is not what you are looking for. You must find something like Android Hotspot or AdHoc. What phone do you own?

The wifi hotspot on your android phone. which I'm pretty sure every android phone made in the last few years is capable of.

Umm not sure what it's called on samsungs as i don't own one. But did some looking around and this seems related to your model...

You can use your device as a hotspot but you must need a data connection to your device in order for you to create a internet hotspot.
To create a hotspot:
1.Go to your settings and click Wifi and Network Settings
2. Go to "Tethering and portable hotspot" tab
3. Turn on the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" tab and you have a portable hotspot.
Make sure that you charge your device because opening the hotspot can drain your battery in minutes.

Try it this way then. Works for me at least.

2. Create the folder "www" on root of sd card on phone.
3. Grab AndroPHP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ayansoft.androphp&hl=en
4. in AndroPHP settings, set www path to /mnt/sdcard/www exit androphp.
5. Put the files from the first step in the www folder.
6. Make sure mobile data and wifi are OFF on phone and start wifi hotspot.
7. Start AndroPHP and press the OFF button so it turns the server on.
8. Go to 3ds settings, connection settings, new connection, search for access point, AndroidMaster should be there, add that (it will fail the test which is fine).
9. Open the browser and go to http://192.168.43.1:8080 and the index page should load.
10. Select the one for your firmware version and exploit should load. (top screen will say "failed to load part of this page", watch the bottom screen).
11. And you should be done. Just do steps 6 - 10 to load the exploit again.

Followed the other steps exactly as Shadowtrance stated and it works fine. (Delete History and Cache in the 3DS browser settings if it won't load - and don't forget to copy Launcher.dat from Ultra release to the root of your 3DS SD card (the big card)))

A bit cumbersome but a huge improvement on what I thought we had last night with the remote gateway connection required.

Yeah obviously some steps like you pointed out with the androphp default www path will be different, mine was /mnt/sdcard by default. So i just added a www folder.

But i figure anyone who actually knows the ins and outs of their phone would know where to look etc like you did.

Note that the phone tethering method is very safe since it doesn't require that you set up a statndard wifi connection in your 3DS internet connection settings - so 0% chance of an accidental firmware update.

Thanks to everyone who figured it out - it will do for the time being - I have a better impression of the 3.0 release now - it has made the gateway card useable on a huge amount of older 3ds consoles.

Thanks a lot Shadow, worked on my OnePlus One. Mine was rooted though so my path was a little different, I had to grant root access and set the path to "/storage/emulated/legacy/www"
