Wow 4.5 downgrade was such an awesome surprise. Glad to see this finally come out. I'm glad I stayed patient.

I'm guessing N3DS isn't supported yet because downgrading a N3DS to firmware that never supported it is going to be extremely problematic. I could see it easily taking them months to do... real bummer, this seems like a nice update for those it worked out for.

Gateway bricked after clicking Boot Gateway to update it.

It returned to the 3DS menu and frooze, now it does nothing anymore, there goes some wasted money

That's my problem! The diagnostic test shows SPI fail, everything else works...

So... The exploit's working on my XL, but when I close a game it hangs there at 'closing software' for an unknown amount of time (I had to force power off) is this normal behavior, that it takes ages to close or is it just me?

Edit: It closes after about a minute. I know it has to backup the save data, but that just seems like an unusually long time.

He edited his guide now, to say it doesn't support N3DS yet, ignoring people who mentioned it, just ninja-editing away.

EMUNAND ONLY WORKS FROM 4.5 AND BELOW. WHICH IS WHY THEY DID THE DOWNGRADE FUNCTION!

Then explain how my 8.1 3DS XL has emuNAND running right now?

Probably not 100% compatible.
Downgrade when you can to 4.5
