Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

I wouldn't have thought about it at all until I saw just how huge an improvement the screen really is. I expected it would widen the 'sweet spot' a bit, but it seriously makes the screen viewable from nearly all angles, which is pretty amazing. The head-tracking is pretty spot-on too. It was when I was testing this out that I realized the stuff on-screen didn't rotate as I was looking around it, and that actually kinda messed with my eyes a bit. =x

Well, right now there are no N3ds titles, so I am going to sit tight and see.

The 3ds prices in NA are going down, while N3ds games are getting closer and closer to release. I can imagine it coming soon. Depending on if I can get some exploitable fw N3ds from north America, I will be looking to sell or retire my Zelda XL or use it only for backups. We'll see when they release. I may preorder and let you guys know what kind of fw we're dealing with if I'm the first xD.

I can imagine N3ds exclusive or enhanced titles using this, and I will actually be a little disappointed if they release without it thanks to you right now though, the games I think would need an update for that to be included, so let's see what the future brings.

Well, I dunno about all of you. But I'm so hype for DSTWO+

They also stated that the product won't be ready for a little while (a matter of days apparently) due to bugs in the current software

So DSTWO+ in a matter of days, did I understand that correctly?! O_O

how can anyone plan on getting something without knowing how it will work?

If it's better than the current cards and can work on current firmwares, I think it's obvious.

If not, it will depend on the features and support available in comparison to the current flashcarts available.

I'll see the reviews, then maybe pick one up, maybe with the release of the n3ds' s here. Right now though, it's gw or nothing.

For all we know, the DSTWO will be released Soon(tm)

haha yeah, totally. After all, so far I've only been able to test the home screen and built-in apps, which I imagine are all 3DS-level. I figure the home screen would've been the ideal place to demo it though, since the top screen always has an object in the center with a backdrop of whatever behind it.

The 3D screen test app does include an extra bit that shows you the head-tracking data, and it seems pretty capable -- it can track the position of your head relative to the screen, vertically and horizontally, and can even detect when you tilt your head side-to-side. Not sure how that last bit would be useful outside of Amie or something, but pretty nifty nonetheless. I don't know if it's able to track head rotation though, which on a PC is half the point.

I definitely hope they'll make it usable for more than just 3D adjustment, but we'll have to wait and see =)

Guys, this is just a scheme to increase their sales and you all have been duped and sadly that includes me as I didnt research well enough about how Gateway runs their business.

If you guys have ever played the stock market, this is very very similar to it.

A middle man, someone who is respected from the community who has inside info will start to hype a stock, he will not officially announce anything but will drop subtle hints in order for people around him to get excited and start spreading rumors beginning the hype. The middle man may seem unhappy that there are rumors around since he hasnt officially announce anything after all but this is actually what he wants! As this rumor increases the hype and the price of the stock that the middle man's circle of friends already have.
In the end, 80% of the time, the news for that particular stock did not come true during the time frame given but the middle man's reputation is not exactly broken as it will end up coming true when the people least expect it or if it does not end up coming true at all he can disassociate himself from the company or even say he hasn't officially said anything.

Why am I confident that you were duped?
Because during that 48 hour window, Garyopa could have said in the beginning that the news is not true of course he cant afford to do that because the sales for gateway is increasing during that window, instead he kept us in the dark and let it run up until the last few hours to drop the "no official excuse" to keep his reputation when the timer ends.

well yes, but this is highly illegal and only happens with unexperienced investors :S. I need to read better

But think about this: if they really did'nt have anything , why didi they say it won't work on 9.3 and above, as they could have sold more if they said it would work on it.

They do have something, obviously they do. But they need to create hype to get more sales while still working on their stuff. They always have something, but having something in the dark won't create any sales, whilst creating rumours and hype and not giving exact dates will make people buy their stuff
