Fun fact, the payload thingy gets downloaded really fast, so theres no reason to fear the update nag if you disable the WiFi as soon as youre done

Btw I used wifi on my n3ds and surfed a bit . I don't think it downloads anything without your consent while you are using it. (not sleep mode though)

Well if you follow that one guide on the forum for blocking the nintendo update (through your router) you shouldnt have to worry about accidental updates anyway
