Oh, so what you're saying is that you had it coming :P

I won't be risking installing the exploit on my new3DS if the 9.2 exploit doesn't have emuNAND support.

I don't know how they expect to create a safe, future proof environment for their users without emuNAND support.

Has this been confirmed by reliable sources or is it still conjecture based on the video they showed?
Nope, I was owning them :p

Can you install updates without installing the actual game and use a rom to play online?
Yes. I bought Fantasy Life DLC and played the game with rom. No problems.
The same with Pokemon games updates, Smash bros etc...just downloaded updates and played rom.

It would be amazing if there is EmuNAND in public version.
But I think that he get informed by Gateway that there will not be EmuNAND in this update.

Nothing has been confirmed by gateway, just a beta tester said that the beta doesn't have emuNAND.
...and us here have speculated that for quite a while, as it was the only feature they didn't show on their video, and it's possibly one of the most important ones.
Also, they've refused to comment on the removal of features for the 9.2 exploit. Which just makes you wonder.

Without EluNAND you can't only play games offline.
You need to download games update via .cia/eShop for playing online so it will not be possible :(
Cheer up man, you can still install .cia files. Just gotta make sure they're legit before installing. Only loss is the E-shop...

I think installing game update .cias shouldn't be that risky. If the .cia source is safe and the file is confirmed not to be corrupted, it installs data for some title, and not data interfering with system data. I'd be more careful around theme .cias, these boys could fck up the system a bit if corrupted.

The main purpose of the new release is to get GW mode running on firmwares 5.x through 9.2, the beta versions are doing exactly that, testing compatibility on different version firmwares under user conditions, there are testers, no one ever said they are testing final versions of anything

What if your 3DS switches off or something crazy like that while in the middle of installing a .cia file?
I've heard so many horror stories back in the PSP days. Probably by stupid people, but still. There's many of them out there.

That's what I said. Be cautious and you won't brick your shit. You can either not use .cia at all and not risk a thing, use .cia and exercise caution, or you can DOWNLOAD ALL THE THINGS and brick your shit. Choice and responsibility come down to the user.

Is the site you get them from legit? Most likely it's easy to tell. Or if you want .cia games, you can convert them yourself.

If it is working on EmuNAND (with another 3ds) it should work on SysNAND with a 2ds?
