The only thing that has a chance to stop the waiting
is to speak in one voice, not in hundreds of similar emails.

We should write an open letter and sign all.
Maybe together with the douwan forum.

GW can not ignore this.
Lets be real, that's not going to happen lol.
Even if it did, I don't see Gateway giving a different response than the ones in the emails.

Well they just said in an e-mail a few pages back that it's going to be released "within 2 or 3 days", no "should", no "most likely", so worst case scenario is 3 days.

Edit : here's the e-mail

Also, the open letter wouldn't help, if they had a real problem with the software, an open letter wouldn't have fixed the problems they had.

What happend if this weeken they doesnt release anything??
Maybe not this weekend... Don't lose hope though, it'll be out soon. It's only around the corner of a circle.

I'm so confused by all this jargon.... so for .cia, save files are on the SD/microSD, while for Card1/2 .3ds, its on the red card?
All save files are on the internal (micro)SD (except for CARD2 saves), regardless of whether you use .CIA or .3DS/Z.

The difference though (at the moment) is that SaveDataFiler (what we use to extract decrypted saves for editing) only supports CARD2 games like PokémonX&Y and Animal Crossing:NL, and games installed on the menu (through eShop or .CIA) on GW.

If you're using MT-Card though, SaveDataFiler works with all games. So the .CIA > .3DS thing is mostly just Gateway's fault.

They also told me it was a couple of days a while back.

In my mind? Dude what do you "logically" expect when someone says to you "a few days"? Please explain this to me. I can wait, I am waiting. I'm just pissed because they give false hopes. I don't like to be mislead.

I dont expect a certain date thats for sure. I expect a blow job from neighbors daughter.

So.....if Imma ignoring 'em and only wish to back up my saves, then what would be good?

It's not hard to install it you just pt the CIA on the 3DS SD card the select it on the Dev Menu, the dev menu will install it itself and then it will be a gift like the games you download from the eshop.
About how tu use GW you should wait till the update is out as it most likely wont work the same as on 4.5
So, let me see if I understood well, pals:
For example, I want to install "altered beast 3D .cia". (when all the exploit is ready and working, whatever it is)
-I put the cia on 3DS SDcard.
-Open DevMenu (where should be DevMenu? it comes with the gateway? or must I search it and drop it on the microSD?)
-Install the cia.
-???
-Open present. Profit!!

But, I have some question. After instaling the cia (it install in the SD, right?) can I delete the .cia archive for space management purposes? I mean: DevMenu creates a new archive (installed game) from the .cia (making the .cia eliminable), or it relocate the .cia (making it not eliminable because the 3DS uses the cia itself)?

Also , about SD and microSD capacities... I'm not getting a 32gb microSD until 6th Jan (Three Wise Men/ "Reyes Magos" present, surely)
Could I work with a normal (not HC) 2gb microSD for the GW, and the standart 4gb SD the 3DS came with?

Where do card2 saves go if not on the internal SD?
