So not celebrating new-years is being a inhuman? as a mechanical engineer that worked around the world i lost so many holidays that i cant remember.
Gatewait are fully aware of the hype that is going around their "soon"/"around the corner" release, not responding to emails and delaying is just an example for not respecting your customers.
But, we already paid, so why should they give a rats ass?

Precisely. Of course you have your hardcore followers which are going to buy your product early like a lot of us have on GBATemp, but I'd say the vast majority of people aren't going to make the jump until it's a fully functional product that can be used out of the box. Heck, I probably wouldn't have bought it either if it wasn't so cheap and easy to buy in China. Most people don't do their homework and might have bought the SKY3DS because it is working now and don't know that Gateway is the better product in the end.

lol it's not about me or you. when a company/group have important projects that needs to be finished they make sacrifices.
When several thousands of people around the world are hyped around this release i expect the same.

Yes we get that you have silly expectations built off of poorly managed projects that end with employees sacrificing things while the big wigs are off snorting cocaine.

They never actually said before 2015, I'm not sure why some people think this. They said before the new school semester, which starts for me starts tuesday for college students, and in roughly 2 weeks for University students.

Count me in the list of the waiting. But truthfully, it's never really the end. It's just moving to the next target- Increased compatibility, more mods, better cheats, improved menus...the goalpost continues to move. Like any other area of consumer goods, it usually comes down to "What have you done for me lately?" And while most people (including myself) don't want to admit to thinking like that, it's what creates the push for new and better tech.

sigh, still nothing. They really shouldn't have said it will come "soon" when they released the video, my initial excitement has gradually decreased and finally turned into disappointment within the last days.
It will probably be worth the wait but damn...

They did not, again, they gave internal estimations, before jan 5th is the earliest promise they gave anyone.
