Good point. Im not sure if the bitching and whining comment was directed at me, but I was just making a statement, nothing more, nothing less. And seeing it your way I do see how not having a release date does have its benefits, I do feel however that it was announced too early but i do realize it was used to combat sky3ds's release.

Compared to some people in here I can actually wait for a release and don't shit my pants about stuff like "ERMAGAWD IT'S NOT RELEASED TODAY GTFO GATEWAY I DUN LIEK YU ANYMORE!"

They needed to warn people not to update. Otherwise a lot of us would be on 9.4 right now with no way of going back.

Gateway knew it would take a little while for the update to be available. That's why they told 4.5 users not to jump the gun and update. Because if they did, they'd be on 9.2 (assuming they updated the moment Gateway released their announcement) and can't use Gateway until the new update which appears to have taken a whole month since the initial announcement on the 8th of December. They know how impatient their customers can be as evidence of this thread. That's why they told 4.5 users not to update. :P

By announced too early I meant "Coming soon" was stated too soon. Sorry Confusion was stated on my behalf
But yes thats true.

It's not 100% sure the update is ready. If It's ready it should only be a technical problem or they must work on the presentation (tutorials, videos etc..)
 
The update is done, doesn't mean that it's ready. It's like when you're programing. Syntax works, but what comes out in the end isn't what you expected. So let them test and polish there product, so we can enjoy it even more when it's done. It's sad that it takes so long, but they can't perform magic. Also as some people said, they need to make a new tutorial / video, because this exploit is different.

Just wanted to say hi! I've been lurking in this thread since before Xmas waiting for the gateway update. It's kept me entertained for a few weeks :) Anyways, happy new year to those who have already been hit by 2015!
