That depends on your firmware on ur 3ds system.
4.0-4.5: use gateway as instructions say
>4.5: you need to wait like the rest of us : )

should be fine to set up the red card with games, no point doing anything with the launcher.dat and stuff, thats for 4.x consoles

nope, unless they have added support....but with exfat,fat32 and raw writing....i dont think they need any more formats

No.... NTFS is strictly Windows.

I'd hate to see the performance of it on gateway at that XD

look in the tutorial section, you can convert .3ds to .3dz

.3ds and .3dz can be changed. you just need a header if you are downloading a rom that doesnt have one. if you are gonna rip your own roms, you simply just change it from .3ds to .3dz

Correct. .3dz to play online-enabled games. Or you can take the .cia route for online games (in this case, you will not need a header).

Like someone is saying here, you could just .CIA all the online-needy games and .3ds the offline ones. It's what I'll do. 'Cept I'll .CIA VC/eShop releases too.
