Hacking Safe to Play Smash Bros?

If I install the update that comes with Smash for wii u will i still be able to access the web based exploit people have mentioned or am I SOL.

To be more specific, I didn't actually get smash bros. I just accidentally left on automatic downloads and ended up at 5.3, which fixes the kernel exploit.

Still, honestly, it's a little early to call yourself fucked.

Wrong. The game updates to 5.2.0, which is the absolute cut off. Let the game update the console, turn off all WiFi.

Actually I think it is, because 5.3 is the amiibo update.

I am on 5.2 (updated with Smash disk) and my kids were using an Amiibo on it last night. I haven't personally done it however.
