Maybe they got sick and tired of all the lame ass emails with impatient noobs from across the globe, and most from rude ass people who don't know them, and decided to do what I said, wait until 2 months after chinese new years to release the update.

Noob, if they didn't say it will play DS games then its not implemented.

The blue card can play ds games, but not on the 3ds current firmware, I don't think there going to update it, but if you have a ds/ds lite/dsi/ you can use it to play ds games

Yesterday Gateway was using Wordpress 3.8.1. Today they are using 4.0.1.
Maybe the update screwed up something and this is why they needed to revert back the content to an older version.

while the blue card is blocked on 6.x+, there is a way to unblock it, i have tested it on a standard 3ds here

so even if the blue card cant be updated to support 9.x natively, once we have cia installation available we can at least downgrade the whitelist/blacklist so its usable on 9.x and lower

im guessing this would work on the n3DS, but it hasnt been tested so i would suggest people just wait and see if there is a nand pinout for the n3ds so we can test it in a safe environment before anyone goes flashing it to a n3ds

You can probably mod emunand, the only problem is gateway emunand does not currently have support for AGB_FIRM and TWL_FIRM meaning DS, DSi, and GBA games will not load.
