I understand some frustration over not accessing online but you're going way too fucking into it for a bunch of people who DDoS'd a couple of game services.

I'm sure it's not that damn hard to find these guys I mean they are using twitter.. IP address I mean come on.. Multi billion dollar company's and yet y'all let this crap happens.. Didn't really affect me though since I wasn't even trying to get online on anything.. Spent time with the family lol

I was too busy with the festivities to even notice any of this to be honest. Did they even state a reason for it, or did they just arrange to do it to try and ruin Christmas for gamers?

I wanna see them do this on a Tuesday in april when no one is on the servers then I'll be impressed. I still won't care but I'll be more impressed.

Isn't April near to Easter?
Some day in June would be better, preferably on a regular working day where Australia/Merica sleeps and Europe is at work/school.
Least amount of traffic.
That would be impressive indeed

...but pointless. They'd be impacting a much smaller percentage of gamers, annoying hardly anybody.

they claim they did it for: lols, recognition, and because they claim these big companies make millions of dollars off of gamers and none goes towards security
but to be fair, many sites wouldnt have been able to stay up with the heavy ddos attack and couple that with the very high usage rate and influx of new users
many sites have to succumb to ddos including amazon, payapl, CIA, visa, mastercard, wordpress, and tons of others
you could spend as much as you want but it wont help much against it

from the attempted tor attack, we see they at least have 3000 servers at their disposal, all of which were most likely used to ddos

i'm sure anonymous or some real hacking groups are already working to expose member identities similar to what happened to lulzsec

The sad thing is these assholes made nearly 400k in "donations" from this...I feel sorry for those not being able to enjoy their xbones on xmas day.

According to Microsoft their was nothing they do to help those get the day one update. The system lacks the ability to update through a burnt disc or flash drive like the 360. And zero games come with the update so far.

It seems they are trying to sell the mega vochers for about half price on a few different forums
