Hacking Wii U model ripping has begun.

Viewing and exporting Hyrule Warriors models to other formats is done, really, thanks to chrrox who has done work with other Warriors series in the past. Here's his very latest import plugin, quoting him from FacePunch:

i know there are a few very small models it won't open but 99% of models work

This version supports bones/rigging. You put it in the python folder in the scripts folder for Noesis and extract this to the scenes folder:

If you're exporting a model as a Wavefront OBJ file, make sure to check "Flip UVs." I'm not sure if that is necessary for COLLADA .dae, which preserves the bones/rigging.

Certain meshes that use physics aren't positioned properly, so you'll have to move them after exporting.

INSTRUCTIONS (for Windows users only ):

1. Extract every file in TwiliTextureTools.zip to the same folder. Move the .bin model file to that folder as well.
2. Open Notepad and type the following:

@echo off
getdxt5bat (name of the .bin model file)

So for Link it would be:

getdxt5bat C_LINK.bin

Save this as test.bat in the same folder.

3. Double-click test.bat. It will generate dxt5.bat.
4. Double-click dxt5.bat. out.bin will be generated.
5. Double-click rearrange.exe. rearranged.bin will be generated.
6. Double-click unscramble.exe. unscrambled.bin will be generated.
7. Create a blank 1024x1024 24-bit bitmap in Paint. Save it in the same folder.
8. With a hex editor, copy all of unscrambled.bin and paste it at 0x36 in the bitmap.
9. ???
10. Profit.

The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire.

Love the mentality these people have, it's cute. I hate the fact that files can be extracted from Wii U games, but the hackers are too damned prissy to reveal how they did it. Are they sucking Nintendo off out of respect or what?

Which I'n fairly confident they won't release due to being sycophantic to Nintendo, because, reasons. Am I wrong? I really hate it when hackers show what they can do, but refuse to let others do so. Essentially, a "Neener neener neener" mindset.
