Just remember that the varying degrees of how off screen play works

Some games have picky support, e.g. in Hyrule Warriors even if you have GamePad use enabled, sometimes when you start a battle it'll show you a stat screen on the GamePad and you have to hit minus on the GamePad to get the battle screen.

Yeah plus many games just work better on the larger screen.

I honestly can't think of any 3rd party titles that would be worthwhile on a Wii U.
I would like to see all 3rd party titles released for the Wii U, since I will not be buying anything but a Wii U for this generation. I really don't see the need to purchase more than one console, so if the 3rd party wants my money then they will need to start releasing games for my console.

Ironically they won't because there is not enough money to be made in releasing a PS4/XO game on the Wii U.

I was sold on the new super Mario bros. Whole reason I bought my wii in the first place was to play the new super Mario game. I wanted to relive the joy super Mario joy again and bought the wii u. homebrew is cool too.

The exclusives are really the only reason getting a Wii U because as for multiplatforms you're better off playing them on 360/PS3/PS4/XO/PC.

Absolutely correct. The question is not "what is the best platform?" Pleople need the answer the question, "What games do I want to play?"

My boys would be devistated if got them any other console than a Wii U. They have not asked for any multi platform games. Nintendo is still magic to them.

They could have called it the "new mario kart machine-plays one game only" and I would have bought it

Spot on! I think Nintendo really need to advise and push the QUALITY of their games.

I played Mario 3D world for TEN minutes yesterday and was INSTANTLY charmed and just down right fucking impressed. In my mind I realised this is the quality Nintendo offers which the other consoles simply don't at times.

MK8 gets boring pretty quickly.

It does, as any other game. This perhaps is just my line of thinking, but after I've played through or 100%'ed a game, I just put it back on the shelf and let it collect dust until a few years later when I want to load it up just to see what the game was like. Mario Kart 8 has already gone on the shelf and it's only on occasion (friends/family over) that I take it out to play. Wii Party U used to be that game, but it has gone into dust collection status. Expect me to wet my pants on this very forum two years later as I revisit Wii Party U, compare it to Mario Party 11, and say absurd things like it was the reason I bought a Wii U to begin with. (Not entirely a lie, though.)

I never really play the hell out of games like MK8 and SSBB so I always find myself coming back for more.

I'm a speedrunner at heart. :) If you have the time to look me up, I was Europe's fastest Super Mario Bros. (NES) speedrunner (no warp pipes, no deaths) in 2002.
