It's all fun and games til someone loses an eye.

I guess that's the problem, lately. No one can comprehend the work that goes in to this. Sure, they had a video showcasing all of the fun and nifty features that Gateway has to offer. (-1) Doesn't mean we will be seeing a release quite yet. Bugs need to be squashed, sheesh. I wish I had my hat. :(

Ouch, talk about dramatic with the eye over there! <- Case in point.

Anyways, you've got that right. Although someone here said that when it comes to development, 20% is given to actual porting of features, the rest is ironing out those nasty bugs (At least I think that was it? Sorry if I got it wrong Mr. Poster).

And don't worry. You'll get your hat soon enough!

*Sigh* I know how you feel. Except I've only got an 8GB card, lol.

As for the whole fiancee business.. Well I have a girlfriend, but she isn't touching on these subjects, nah-huh. :P

Edit: Maybe we'll see something Tuesday.

If he offends you? He apologizes. However, it is just his opinion. Nothing he states is pure fact, especially in the Gateway world.

If your jimmies get rustled? That's your problem.

To be fair, Gateway have been a little naughty with the "we're finalizing", "soon", "very soon", and then taking ages. Not to mention the vague robot e-mail replies. I can absolutely sympathize with anyone that is a little frustrated. We all want the update.

they should know better , it's the multirom update all over again , people should know what to expect by now when GW says "soon"

Building and maintaining hype and excitement is a key component to any entertainment release. Gateway did it wrong.

If they aren't even close to release, then they shouldn't have announced it (or shouldn't have said "finalizing"). If they haven't prepared a regular and steady stream of information to feed their supporters, then they've done it wrong. If they leave out key parts of information, then respond to inquiries about these features with a vague robot, then they've done it wrong. If they show a video that seems to show that the update is 99% finished, and they're not even close, then they've done it wrong.

"They're squashing bugs" is not an excuse for a poorly executed hype machine.

Welp. Multirom didn't take THAT long.

Then again.. Bah. Nevermind, I'm just hoping for the best right now.

Edit: Leave it to Puppy_Washer to tear the place down. Wow.

Or maybe they're hard at work to ensure we get the release as soon as possible? The whole "hype machine" thing is the fault of the community, not the Gateway team. They had shown you an update on their progress. Which, if they hadn't, you all would be complaining about THAT. Wondering where the update is, and whether or not they've been lying to us... and 99% finished? Okay, so apparently you know how stable it is? Now you're an expert, right?

That is actually one of the more 'negative' features of the device IMO.
The fact that you can't simply tell it NOT to update, but have to resort to tricks.

Really, I'll tell you when I want you to update... (Electronics should NEVER be made to think for you. Convenience will be our downfall one of these days.)
I may actually resort to plain old no-wifi completely, rather than risking that magic bullet.

The 3DS never automatically updates, it does automatically download them and pester you though. The only "trick" one needs to resort to is pressing "No" when it asks.

This was a friendlier thread 90 pages ago..

Welcome to GBA Temp, where anything and everything is skewed and misconstrued and anybody that's anybody's is at each others' necks :P

Since we're near Christmas, the song the Temp should sing is Jingle Bells. "Jingle bells, jingle bells, butthurt all the way..♫"

...and the points don't matter!

Had to. O.o

Holy fug I just noticed. That looks BEAUTIFUL.
Imgur is acting weird. Yeah that is also my initial line after seeing the N3DS. And now waiting patiently for the patch :)
Testing again...

Patiently waiting for my update.

I guess that's what happens when you're trying to finalize a problem by your own means.

Wonder if that was caused by the Gateway b2 update.

What? Oh c'mon, I had to, you know that.

Tomorrow's another day for news. Let's hope Gateway gives us something!

I love how the signature goes over the image.
 Nice one!
