is this a valid website? http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates if so then I can see what you're all talking about now.

Something like that. Yeah, the one being shown in 60fps looks a lot smoother (with blur) when moving compared to the 30fps version. Slowing the speed down also helps as you see the 30fps UFO look like it's "shaking" or "studdering" compared to the smooth movement of the 60fps UFO.

Actually no. It's usually because it's out of stock. play asia never states out of stock on hot ticket items.
Well, it's clearly *not* out of stock as two other members were able to place orders. I get the "banned" message too and I'm in Australia. So it's not an "outside of region" ban as I first thought, they're just not shipping it *anywhere* outside the uk.

now to hope play asia hurry up with this refund, they are asking me to close the paypal case thing and they will issue a refund, but ....idk paypal says not to close it until after i recieve the refund or i cant open another one up.....anyone had any experience with refunds from play asia, i don't want them pulling some "restocking fee" bulls**t when they don't even have the stock to begin with XD

They would have refunded you had you emailed them to cancel the order instead of reporting an issue which gives them problems with paypal. They immediately refunded an order of mine when I emailed them. But then you won't get your refund from paypal for 4-5 days. Thats how long it took me. On a side-note it took 4 days to get to the U.S. it would be at your door in 3 days. Idk I've ordered a few New 3DSs from play asia and have been pretty satisfied.
Close the case, you brought it up unnecessarily. Play-Asia is a legitimate business. They would have refunded it no problem and confirmed it went through properly.

Not sure about the U.K. but import charges were $2 considering it was a video game console out of Japan. Can't exactly jack up import charges on something that we import. Either way Play-Asia is the only source for the U.S. it seems.

Hey sorry for the random post but I just picked up my blue N3DS LL I got from nippon-yassan on Dec. 1 and it actually came with 9.1 out of the box! If anybody is ordering from them (at least in the same color) you can rest easy knowing there will probably be a 9.X firmware on it out of the box.

P.S. To the brit that thought I had to pay import tax/duties for the 3DS I imported into the US.. I never paid a cent in import taxes! :P

i had already emailed them requesting a refund....i have had companies suddenly mark stuff as shipped before when requesting a refund even though they haven't so then you kinda cant get a refund......idk maybe i was too hasty, but then again the part where i should of been able to cancel the order on the site was rather vague and i didn't want to be waiting for the usual super slow email every other day with random non helpful "we will have stock in soon" etc etc

also im not saying play asia isnt a legitimate business, but even huge companies play silly games when it comes to refunds, personally i haven't used them before so i have no idea how good they are on that front....especially when they start saying stuff about restocking fee's and how they will do refunds with store credit in their refunds page....that stuff didn't really fill me with hope on them being easy to deal with, as did the other stories of people waiting ages for replies from them online when it came to refunds

I don't think people understand how import tax/duties are calculated. I didn't. You read horror stories about a carpet or a watch, but each category is different. In the case of video games, that is a major import. How would PS4s sell if every one that crossed the states was +$50. Every item is taxed equally, whether its for a store or citizen. Glad I know for the future. People often let greed get the best of them, finding something at a bargain, forgetting all about import fees for the particular item.

Well I think that they want you to close it so they can refund it, because if they refund it while the case is open it leaves their account with a mark. That can be very damaging for companies like theirs. I'm pretty confident they will refund you quickly, they did mine anyways. Just remember they are on HK time.

thanks for the reply, i have canceled it :P
i regards to import taxes......idk tbh i havent looked into it much i have only ever been asked to pay import tax once and it was bloody ridiculous, i had bought some computer parts for like £12, and they where requesting £15 in duties........so i kinda don't like the idea of it,......idk i ended up not paying that, but still kinda turned me off the idea of importing stuff as it was a pain in the arse trying to get it sorted out

Well this sure adds a layer of relief to many people wanting to buy a JAP N3DS. Nicely done!

Now I wonder why did that happen ...

You know part of the reason people are doubting emunand is because they said stay on 4.5. But maybe the reason has to do with the save files not being compatible? Maybe they didn't want people upgrading with any potential negatives.

why does this suddenly feel like /v/

Heh. Guess that's what happens.

See Gateway? This is what happens when you keep us waiting with your Aussie tests. Just test those Aussies already and GREEN LIGHT the damn thing. There's people STARVING over here for chriss'sakes!

Edit: I just noticed how my signature is so fitting for every message I post. It's like the Guile's theme of signatures.

i'm starting to think i should have ordered the XL instead of the standard size as i noticed from most of the video clips that i have seen on youtube that the colours on the standard N3DS screens look slightly washed out compared to the colours on N3DS XL screens which look very nice.

watch this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_wlUnR8DfDU#t=636

N3DS XL dull looking console with colourful screens
N3DS colourful looking console with dull screens

Nintendo ??
