Riiiight! You're right...
Since NN3DS NAND is 4Gb now, they could be facing some sort of size issues...
actually....idk maybe people just assumed, on wikipedia it still says 1GB internal and a 4GB micro SD included

edit again: ok having a look at the tear downs, apparently it does have a 4GB emmc chip inside.....but its also worth mentioning some original 3DS's had 2GB chips in but still only utilized 1GB of space on them....it may be the same here, but it was just cheaper for nintendo to source the 4GB chips than finding a supplier of 1GB chips
Shouldn't be. The redirect call to sd partition is the same. I guessing they purposely no mention emunand because it be confusing. Just think.

"GW will support native 9.2 and emunand 9.2". It will super confusing. New members will wonder if their 3ds running emunand or native.
...yeah i suppose it could just be that, but it would of been nice if they just said like *future emunand capabilities.....but whatever we will hopefully find out soon enough

There won't be much exclusives. It's just the DSi over again.
When you port a beast by the name of Xenoblade Chronicles from the Wii (Dual Layer, MASSIVE game) to the 3ds it isn't.just.the.dsi.again.

People are having a real hard time calculating just how much more power the N3DS brought. Power that could bring a lot of wanted "exclusives" or "remakes". We're talking about additional cores + triple the MHz for EACH core.

Partnered with extinguishing the 3DS XL line in Japan ... Well..

Its NOT just the dsi again.

That's not what I meant. The DSi again meaning, they won't make 90% of new titles exclusive for the N3DS. They'd lose a huge chunk of their market.

I think that with "Its just DSi all over again." people may indicate that there probably will not be a large amount of exclusive titles.
Sure, you'll have your Xenoblades that take advantage of the stronger device.
But for most developers sales are everything.

Why lock yourself into a smaller target audience, especially in the initial period, when you can get access to both the 3DS and N3DS crowd?
Perhaps a year from now we'll be seeing more N3DS exclusive titles pick up as the market gets saturated through sales.
The initial period will probably see more shared titles than exclusives as developers are still hedging their bets.

And the question arises: "Why buy an N3DS just for Wii or GameCube ports?"
2 reasons.

1 - You don't have a wii/gamecube etc, but you do have a N3DS.
2 - Portability - handhelds hold a convenient position of not being locked down as regular consoles are which draws in a specific audience, an audience that still likes great games like Xenoblade.

Same reason we're seeing N64 remakes. They're great games.

well really it all depends on how well it sells, if they get enough sales it would encourage more exclusives.....but that being said most of the normal titles would definitely be standard 3DS.....but i guess we just have to see how well it takes off, and if there is enough demand for better games from N3DS owners, developers *might* consider doing it........i suppose we will need to see how well they can do cross compatible titles i.e games that use the N3DS hardware but can scale it down for standard 3DS's

but really....let us see what homebrew we get.....while big developers might just be thinking money money money, i am looking forwards to seeing what homebrew devs can do on the new hardware

Then again, according to Japanese sales, that chunk of the market rushed to buy the N3DS.

Around 90%'ish of the people that bought a N3DS in Japan already owned a 3DS. :/ ... (Its an article somewhere in Kotaku, look it up).

In terms of statistics only, it isn't THAT farfetched to look upon a new road of "exclusives". Of course, the market isn't just numbers, but still ...

Edit: Heck, most people here already owned a 3ds before rushing to import the N3DS.

The answer to that is, why not.

My experience with ports are that they are dumbed down, the controls are weird, or bugs with porting something that wasn't meant for that console.
Unless it is a full remake (Zelda), I won't be interested.

Maybe that might just impact but it'd be the biggest dick move to previous customers. They've brought out a limited XL not long ago. I'd be annoyed if that was the case.

They will most likely still support both systems, but just have enhanced features like they've done in the past. Which is completely fine for everyone.

Key element here - Yes we'll be seeing Japanese exclusives.
But we're already seeing Japanese exclusives with a LOT of titles never seeing english localization.

So with that in mind, how many *western* developers and localized exclusives will we see?
That'll depend entirely on how quickly the western market saturates.

Welp.. Wasn't the Game Boy Color kinda of a dick move too?

The only diff. here is that the time between 3DS and N3DS is too small. GB and GBC had a big year leap I think.

Lets just hope all turns out ok. Afterall, the 2DS is still out there.

I wonder when will a New 2DS come out, lol!

Haha, fair point.

But my point exactly, the 2DS is also hardware they have to still produce for. So I guess it will just be some games with extra features/enhanced as well as some exclusives.
