Hacking Gateway support for Firmware 9.0 – 9.2 Coming

I got a question may be someone can help ?
Can i alreaday purchase my gateway card before they officialy launch 9-0 compatibility or should i wait for official launch if this update rely on a new card instead of an update?
The reason why i'd like to know is to anticipate the buy before christmas AND maybe a retailer failure if you see what i mean

Last release was just a little update (themes by Nintendo did a little trouble to home menu so the selctor menu was not poping up) but creating a "noob" access to a 9.x kernel exploit AND obfuscating it a lot without making launcher.dat taking 10 minutes to launch needs more time

Can't say I'm in too much of a rush for the update to be released, of course sooner rather than later would be nice, but I'm patient enough for a release. I just wish they'd put out some more information already to quell the speculation.

As Smea didn't gave the exploit itself, I think Nintendo can not patch the exploit now.
Every one is waiting for the exploit. Even Nintey's engineers

You, can, but I would wait to see what kind of features there are in the end.

The Gateway team already stated in E-Mails, that you neither need a 4.5 3DS for an one time update (you can do it yourself), nor a new card (it uses the same). It's on you if you can wait or buy now with the potential, that the features don't please you and you have thrown away 60-70 bucks, at least for the time being (who knows what happens after that)

The "DS profile" bug is fixed in your version, so no need to keep it at 6.x for that.

So it all depends if you have a way to update it to 9.0.0 or 9.2.0 with a retail cart. If so, you have time on your side and can wait it out. If not, I'd suggest updating to 9.2.0 online while you still can.

What are the chances that they found an exploit in a demo or something similar on the eshop? I mean Nintendo could pull the game or patch ASAP if they found out.

Edit: Im thinking it could be something that already came with the update like a theme or something.

Alright, even at worst case scenario we can all agree that gateway support for 9.0-9.2 will include ROM loading without the 10 game limit. Even at this unlikely scenario (as i believe they do have a kernel exploit) we can expect (i can´t be sure as of now) to be able to use a cubic ninja rom in other to unlock homebrew features. Even if gateway 9.0-9.2 ends up lacking some substantial features compared to gateway 4.x it is not bad at all if you ask me.

Thats what Ive been saying all along! But the thing that bothers me know is how is the exploit initiated, I mean is it something from a game or a theme from the eshop or something simple like the 4.x users have.
