hello fellow tempers today i am talking about a problem with the update i have had ever since 5.0.0 U was released and i am stuck on 4.1.0. U i thought that the problem occured due to the wrong IOS 58 being installed (i tried out nintendont) although recently i have re-installed the correct ios58 i still get this error although a bit differently. it used to stop at 29% and now the update starts normal untill about 19% and then jumps to 70% and SLOWLY works it's way up to 100% and still outputs this error. i have already tried nintendo official repair so don't respond with that but any help or remedies will work -please help this young 16 year old play lots more mariokart 8 online

Try another WiFi/Wired network.

162-3006 is most commonly an incorrect IOS. Post a syscheck.

I got this same error from having the ninty servers blacklisted. I unblacklisted and it worked fine. Try that.

Hi,

Could you please develop a bit more? I'm having the same issue. How did Nintendo servers got blacklisted in the 1st place?

I blacklisted the server on my route to stop updates, went on holiday, came back and forgot. I got that error until I remembered, and then removed the blacklist.

like gunner007 said i need to run a syscheck Anyone willing to pm me the boot.dol for hbc (vwii)

Wait, you can't run HBC from vWii? That's some pretty big information to leave out.

Try installing HBC from the disc exploit of your choice. If you truly have no incorect IOS, the installation should go along as normal. If it hangs up on the scam screen, you most likely have a non-stock IOS in slots. If that happens, check the log file on the SD card for a listing.

I used to have this exact same problem and I've read your previous posts. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this IOS58 semi-brick without a vunerable IOS without IOS58 or a cIOS your pretty much screwed. updating to the newest Wii U system update via disc is the only other option. As of right now there is no game currently released that has update 5.0 on it. You'll either have to bite the bullet and format your Wii U, trade it in at Gamestop and purchase another one or hope any pray Nintendo included 5.0 on smash Bros next month. I gave up on trying to fix my IOS58 and waiting on a disc update, so I bought a new Wii U.

Wait so why did you think the wrong ios58 was installed? and what did you reinstall onto it? Were you dumb enough to not read the stickies and install wii ios on a vwii?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think a disc update won't work either. Imo their is no differnce between a disc update and a online update. If one fails the other fails.to.

They are indeed the same update, he seems to think since the download is failing then a disc will work. That is not always the case
