I'm unsure which I should buy. I know I won't be able to pick up the game until after I'm done Student Teaching on Friday but I would love to play it. I used to play Brawl all the time and I've been playing the demo a ton just unsure if I should just buy digitally to have something to play in the morning train ride or just wait until after work. Thanks for your opinion!

Forgot to mention I have $20 on my eShop still.

For the 3DS it really doesn't matter. Since you have eShop money then I say go with that.

If it were for WiiU I can't see anyone getting the digital copy. The nature of that game demands it travel around so you can bring it to other places and on other wiiu's.

Since you have credit on the eShop then go for the digital.

If you want the Smash 2CD Soundtrack I can fill you in for that, with lossless quality too. I've just got to wait for the Smash Wii U to get the Club Nintendo and then it'll be mine (of course after they dispatch and I receive it)!

What FAST6191 said.

I bought Mario Golf digital and I regret it. Big name games I want physical copies for the value. Its a pain to change cartridge but small price to pay for the game to hold its value.

I think in your case, Go digital. Its one of those type of games that is good for a quick play and you wont wanna keep having to swap it in and out for 2-3 matches on the train + the fact you already have money ready to spend.

Always physical. I simply don't trust Nintendo's ridiculous, backward, console-centric DRM. I don't want to pay $40 to Nintendo just for a license to play their game on ONLY my 3DS, while losing the ability to resell it. If the console gets broken or stolen, all of my content is gone with it, and I'd be at the mercy of Nintendo's customer service to restore the software. (Which has happened before, and they didn't restore jack shit)

The question to me is, does the boxed version have a complete manual? There's any internal artwork on the box cover or it's blank/club nintendo pin? Prof Layton vs PW had the PIN of club nintendo printed on the internal cover.
If there aren't any printed material besides a "how to read your digital manual" or the club nintendo pin, I'm going digital on this one.

There is an unfoldable poster thing that shows each character's B moves and that's it AFAIK.

Thanks Arras but I ended buying the physical version since a store near work got it already (in Brazil it's very rare to have simultaneous launches, some companies try but most of times our customs takes too long to process the shipments).
The question of the printed materials mattered more when we weren't sure about the launch date :D
