yeah, in the demo i noticed you get these coins after a match, and i think i read that when you get 100 or something you can make your character 'gold'.
i wonder why they didn't manage to add this to the game when it was 'produced'...

and keep in mind that nintendo did not do this because of pirates, people will still be able to pirate the game, people will still be able to go online.
What is this demo you speak of?

BECAUSE it affects gateway users ON A BIG DEEGREE that is why :) srsly why does every thread have someobdy crying wrong section???
It's called structure. . . . . . perhaps you've heard of it :teach:

Thanks for the update! I really wasn't planning on playing online using the Japanese release anyway, as I'm using a USA 3DS. I spent so much time playing the 64 version on Daedalus for the PSP (Single Player, only, if you don't know already), I'm completely fine with this.

Wow, that's amazingly incorrect. The coins after matches are entirely different from the ones that turn you gold in-game -- specifically on the New Super Mario Bros. level (Golden Plains). That level is covered in collectible coins and if you collect 100 of those, then your character turns golden for a while during that match. -_-

Satoru Iwata this is really good of you to come forward and take time out to tell us GBATemp members a run down of the truth. Thank you :) can you let us know also when it might be dumped so I can play it.

No, wait.

This is Lonk. He's from Pennsylvania. Would that still do?

Can't wait to play Lonk and Petch as Mii Fighters. I can't believe Nintendo didn't put two of their biggest characters in the game, what were they thinking?
(plot twist: Lonk is Mii Gunner and Petch is Mii Swordsman)

This is gonna end up just like the last SSB3DS thread. Please guys, even if you think this belongs in Hacking & Homebrew because it's a dump we're waiting on, we still are technically waiting on the actual games release. Next time post stuff like this in Games & Content.

In other news
God I can't wait for this to be dumped publicly.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
