According to the leak there will be DLC characters which might be unfair in online battles.

I still can't trust it, and it seems Nintendo has having a Nintendo Direct for the 3DS version on Friday. Coincidence? I refuse to trust it until officially confirmed from Sakurai himself.

Once again, we should take this with a VERY huge grain of salt until we get confirmation, but there is a Nintendo direct coming up this week apparently, and whatever characters are on the 3DS should be the same as the Wii U version.
