sorry, you can't Play GBA games by this card,
the only flashcarts can allow you place GBA games is Supercard DSTwo

You can use gbaemu4ds but it has a bad compatibility etc.

I tried that, when I run the card it just shows a white screen, some other firmwares show a '? MENU? on the top screen, but none have worked so far also if this helps the icon of this card in the DS menu is Touch! Bomberman Land

Ok so I downloaded the upgrade file for my card and followed the instructions

ndsi V1.4.4j hardware upgrade£º

1. You can not upgrade R4i-GOLD Card with ndsi V1.4.3j If your ndsi console has already been upgraded to ndsi V1.4.3j, you will need another NDSL or NDSi 1.43v to upgrade your ndsi flash card
2.Make sure NDSi was fully charged, better with external power pluged.
3.First, reformate the SD, download the latest kernel 1.60b.
4.Unzip and copy the files(homebrew,R4iMenu,moonshl2,moonmemo,r4.DAT) to the root of MicroSD card.
5.Download the latest upgrading programs. Unzip and copy the file(upNDSIv144C5.nds) to the root of MicroSD card.
6.Insert MicroSD card into r4i-gold card, insert r4i-gold card into nds\dsl\dsi\dsixl.
7.Turn on console and press "A" button to run the upgrade file upNDSIv144C5.nds.
Note:When upgrading the r4i-gold card, it is not allowed to turn off power or pull out r4i- gold card,otherwise it will damage the r4i-gold card.

But when I started the DSi and ran the Bomberman Land thingy it just went to a white screen again, what am I doing wrong and why doesn't it work? Also what does

upgrading programs

mean?

UPDATE: I took out the flashcard out of my DSi and the white screen turned into a black screen which showed 'Loading ...' and 'www.r4i-gold.eu' at the top screen, but nothing else happened

You sure you have R4i GOLD EU 3DS card? There's the non 3DS card too, which one do you have?
Ohh and it seems there are V6.2 and other cards from the manufacturer so it could be that your is old and doesn't support 1.45 DSi firmware. Did the card work before on 1.45?
Have you update your DSi before updating the card?

If no then do:

1.Backup saves and other important files from microSD card

The link in your original post doesn't work, but it sounds like you should have taken some others advice and spent a few more bucks for a decent card.
Maybe your missing a step or dont have the files/folders set up properly on the root of your microSD card?

Press the big orange orange " download now ", if you can't do that then i can't help you.

By the way, why not buy a popular r4i card? Such as the R4i Gold 3DS and R4i 3DS RTS(red),
but of them are great and popular card, if you have problems, many players can help you.
