Can anyone help me figure out this??

I haven't used my Wii Manager in a long time. So last night I downloaded WBFS Manager 3.0 and I plugged in my Wii hard drive (w/USB Loader and games that I have on it) and I "Select Load" and I select which drive my hard drive is on. and I get this message ------> "Error occurred while loading drive, Make sure the drive is not in use or open and has been formatted to wbfs" . My hard drive is and always has been wbfs formatted, I've been playing games on my Wii with this hard drive, through the USB Loader?? And if I format, I will lose all my games and I can't do that.

Any help as to what is going on??

Thanks

Yeah Wii Backup Manager is a better option for HD organization and i also had mine formatted WBFS and would get the same format errors....

If anything u can also use wbfs2fat to Format ur HD on the Fly without losing any Data and save yourself some headaches down the road

I use Wii Backup Manager with my NTFS formatted harddrive, and I have no issues with CFG Loader. I use NTFS because I don't like having to split files over 4GB. Most of my games are in wbfs format, except for Brawl and a few others that break the 4GB barrier, those I just keep as uncompressed ISOs.

I did finally downloaded Wii Manager. I started the program, it came up and seems to work. I selected drive 1 & 2, but it won't bring up a list of drives, so I can select the one with my hard drive?

I do have windows 8.1 (USA) HP Envy if that helps!

you have to format your entire drive to fat32 with 32kb cluster size if you haven't done yet. neither wiibackup manager nor windows can't open WBFS drives.
after that, click on Drive 1 and select your gamedrive from the dropdown menu below. then it will be recognized after a short scan.

Will that erase the games (WBFS files) that I already have on that drive????

Not if you use the program "wbfs2fat" it will convert your HD in real time and you should end up with a FAT32 formatted Harddrive.....without losing anything and only takes Seconds :yaywii:
