Could someone here that has the means to upload the Wii U Pro controller to work with Nintendont also upload it to work with the Steam version of Shovel Knight, please?
...we have the time before the release of the game to upload controllers so they can work with the Steam version ...but nobody seems to care about this game on the forums ..kinda weird.
I will not get the controller with the USB adapter too soon, so that's why I'm asking for at least this controller ..since there's still time for this.

I know it could be seen as off-topic, but this seems to be the only thread to ask about something like that (since here is where people that can upload controller's info are..).

Well.. the topic where you can upload it is HERE
thanks

That one is the kind that you'd connect to the wiimote right? there's no bt support so I don't think that'll work. You're better off with an GC to USB adapter.

You can create your own controller.ini; just get HIDTest v6 in the first post of the Nintendont thread, plug your controller in the back bottom port (if you're using a WiiU) and then load Hidtest. If you see that the values change when you press the buttons then it's a compatible controller, and you just need to follow the instructions to make the ini file.

If the PID and VID are 0079 / 0006, there's already an .ini created for it that you can try.

HIDTest put the v6 in sd and open the emulator with the connected controller or open the program at HBC?

you load Hidtest from the HBC, since it's separate from Nintendont; it's an app only to confirm the way the buttons will work when using the controller with nintendont.

this HID_Test rename it to controller.ini and put in the root of SD?

no, Hidtest is a .dol; you put it in a "Hidtest" folder inside your "apps" folder, then just plug the controller, and load the app through the hbc, check if the controller is detected; after you're sure it's working you can make the controller.ini

I looked up the file inside and that Ini file was made for mayflesh adapter that will allow wii u propad to be wireless, you should create your own that makes it compatible with USB cable.

my Dualshock 4 and dualshock 3 work fine by the way.

if the wii u controller pro is compatible with the USB cable to create the values controller.ini with him?

When you open HID Test it has to show 8 pairs of numbers or letters in the bottom. If they change when you press the buttons in the controller, then its compatible and you can create the .ini.

Also, edit your posts instead of posting several times in a row.

I saw this right here my wii u pro is not compatible

Have you tried with the other controller you mentioned first? And when I said you should edit your posts, I meant you should do it if you have to add something to your post before someone else posts after you.. I did post, so you could reply after me.

OK so, im a pretty big noob here, but to start things off i'm trying to make my one controller file for Nintendont because the file the ones that they give you in the rar don't support mine. I'm using a PS2 controller adapter here's a pic of
8pcs-2-Port-Dual-USB-Game-Converter-Adapter-for-font-b-Sony-b-font-font-b.jpg
Sorry for the pic being so big. Anyhow i loaded the HID tester and all those numbers come up i press the buttons on my PS1 controller and it works, but what do i do now? Does it create a controller.ini file for me? Or do i make it on a pc? Thanks in advance.

Ok so i'm a complete noob at this. I don't know sh*t about how to do this. I need all help from step 1 til the end. BTW i'm trying to get my Madcatz Arcade Stick V.S. edition for PS3 to work. The HID test recognizes the Arcade stick and every button works except for Turbo. So how do i make a controller.ini for it?

0- Grab a already done controller.ini file from here (I am using a ps3 controller.ini as example) . Copy the content (the text) paste it on notepad and save it as "controller.ini" (without the quotes) and make sure the extension is ".ini" not ".txt"
1- Open Hid Test in homebrew channel
2 - Press a button (any button) on your stick and check if a value will change (lets assume it changed for 80)
3 - write down on a paper the number of that value that changed (again, lets assume it change for 80)
4 - replace the number (80) in the controller.ini for the appropiate button you with to use:

IN the controller.ini the files are this way:
[Dual Shock]
VID=054C
PID=0268
Polltype=1
DPAD=0
Power=4,01
A=3,40
B=3,80
X=3,20

Lets say that after you press a button on your stick it changed for 80,
so you decided to use the "A" button, SO YOU JUST NEED TO CHANGE THIS:

IT WAS SO:

[Dual Shock]
VID=054C
PID=0268
Polltype=1
DPAD=0
Power=4,01
A=3,40

NOW YOU SHOULD DO THIS:
[Dual Shock]
VID=054C
PID=0268
Polltype=1
DPAD=0
Power=4,01
A=3,80

NOW WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON on your STICK IT WILL DO THE ACTION OF THE BUTTON "A" AS IF IT WAS A ORIGINAL GAMECUBE CONTROLLER.

Easy, as I said you must connect your stick on the back of your wii/wii u and open the hid test on homebrew channel.
After the app opens, look at the screen and not the numbers there.
Press a button - you will notice that some number/value WILL BE changed on the left. Write down that number/value. IF IT NOT CHANGE, YOUR DEVICE IS NOT COMPATIBLE.
Redo the process to make sure the number/value.

That number/value corresponds to the button you pressed on your stick. Then follow the tutorial I described above to setup you stick entirely.

THE A, B, X, Y, ARE NAMES OF THE BUTTONS. YOU JUST NEED TO CHANGE THE VALUE THE WAY I TOLD YOU IN THE PREVIOUS POST.
