This is cool, however if it's at all similar to the ds one, it's gonna be hugely sandboxed, and you'll still be heavily restricted on what you have access to (think hypervisor type restrictions...) Either way though, people were able to do some pretty cool things with the ds one, so I have high hopes on the 3ds one.

Holy crap, I wonder how the screen will display the 4th dimension of time.

Anyway I haven't programmed in basic in years, but I'd give it a go if it's in 3D :D

I have an idea of how it might look 3D mixed with Blue Ray if they combine those two Nintendo would be even greater & no not separately switching simultaneously completely combined the display would be excellent :)

I underestimated people's desire to script games in the most inconvenient and tedious of ways. Though it looks like 95% of the games I'm finding are "unfinished" or a "work in progress."

Most of these quitters are 5-8 year olds with ADD. I should have never linked Petit Wikia. If you want to make a decent 2d game, its not unreasonably hard.

Again, look at what the Japanese have accomplished with it (where petit is a much bigger hit than here in the west).

Again, this type of game quality is typical with Japanese Petit programmers. PTC is their devkitpro.

Isn't most homebrew "in progress" when it's abandoned though?

Most of the code for Megaman 2 wasn't done on the handheld, nor are any of the game's assets done on it either. Most of the code was programmed in regular Wordpad, then copied/pasted into PTCUtilities (which makes the QR codes). All the assets are compressed/compiled into GRP files on my PC and then converted into QR codes to be imported. There's be no way I could get the game up and running as it is now if it was done strictly on the device.

holy shit that necro
Well the topic is still relevant and there has been some news on the Eur/Us release.
It's supposed to be sometime this year, an assumed delay from the more optimistic, "Spring 2015".
The JPN release is already out (and scene release).

Meh, people in the USA are oversensitive as usual.
n**** means just black in Spanish, is a color such an offensive word? (it seems it is... pfff)
Lol, I was joking.

I'd make a return joke about Argentina, but you guys have just seen too much sadness as it is.

Oops. :P

Oh that's life, I think the return joke would be we ourselves... I don't know how did we do to get as screwed as we are considering we were never poor or something...
