is there a way to use a xbox360 controlller with a wiiu
since i have an xbox360 with 4 controllers and looking to buy a wii u when metroid comes out for the wii u, i dont feel like rebuying the controllers.

... I assume you're trolling. But if not, no there is no way outside of taking out the guts of a 360 controller and placing inside the Wii U pro controller guts to use a 360 controller on the Wii U.

It might be theoretically possible, but nobody has built such a device yet.
There are adapters for other kinds of controllers, though. PS1/PS2 to Wii adapters are mass-produced in China so you can get them cheap.

wouldn't you do the opposite, take the guts of a Wii U Pro controller and put them in a 360 controller.

Putting the guts of a 360 controller in a Wii U Pro Controller would end up resulting in a Wii U Pro controller that works with the 360 as the internals were replaced with that of a 360 controller.

Indeed, I musta been a little out of it when I initially replied.

I was thinking of posting a serious reply of why they won't work, but then I couldn't stop laughing

There's also this Wii RetroPad Adapter that allows a variety of (mostly older) controllers to act as a classic controller. There's no direct Xbox360 adapter, but you MIGHT be able to daisy chain to get something to work (I'd guess it would have to be the wired version of the 360 controller though).

If I had four Xbox 360 controllers and zero Wii U Pro controllers, I'd probably look into using them across systems too.

Sadly, wireless 360 controllers don't use bluetooth, so it'll never work.

Wired 360 controllers might work, with a hack or adapter or something.

This is pure trolling at it's finest.

The Wii Pro controller already closely resembles the 360's controller is appearance.

A warning ticket should be given.

Here you go, douchebags. 5 seconds of Google Fu proved you wrong.

yeah i'm not sure why all the hate, there are plenty of ways to use official controllers cross platform with the right hardware, I think warnings should be given to the people being toxic to TC.

This is probably as close as you're gonna get, for now.

Been thinking of this Nyko Pro Controller which looks just as good if not better than the 360 controller for its battery charge via USB and improved D-PAD.

Still, for games like Sonic Lost World it's pointless to think about it because 1-Player mode only allows to use the GamePad which I really like but standard controller would've been cool too.

Lol my quote was well over a year ago. I'm aware that things have changed, you didn't have to dig up an old thread just to point out something I already knew. Even still it has to be wired, don't know how possible it will be to do it wireless given that the 360 controller doesn't use standard bluetooth.

This video is of a 360 controller being used in place of a Wii classic controller pro, not a Wii U controller pro. Black Ops 2 supports 4 different controllers, the gamepad, the wii U controller pro, wiimote/nunchuck, and ccp plugged into the wiimote. Not all Wii U games support the wii ccp controller, so this video is kind of misleading if somebody don't know the difference between all the different cotrollers the wii u can use. The adapter in teh video will not allow a 360 controller to be used in place of a Wii U controller pro. Who's the douchebag now?

If you guys want an Xbox 360 controller for Wii U without the hassle of hardmodding or anything then get the Gioteck GC-2 Wii U Controller it's nearly identical! And I'll be posting a topic about "The Best Wii U Controllers" that I've used almost as long as the Wii U's been out.
