Dust off those PS4 controllers because Transistor (A sci-fi themed action RPG by the creators of Bastion, Supergiant Games.) was finally given a release date. One of the titles I've been looking forward to since I first got my PS4. The game will be release May 20th, 2014 at the retail price of $19.99 on Steam and the PSN store.

Mark your calendar for May 20, 2014. In just a few weeks, our next game will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC!
We’ve been putting the finishing touches on it and think it’s just about ready.

Picking it up day one.
Bastion is simply amazing, so I hope this one doesn't dissappoint.
I really hope there's some kind of narrator, though. Loved the narrator in Bastion.

Here's hoping this Trans-Sister is more than just passable.

I've been on gbatemp for a while now and I really miss the good old puns you used to pull off...
What happened to you Gahars!?
Ontopic looks pretty interesting, especially for an indie game, will deifnitely give it a try on PC

good old puns

Only you happened to you. There comes a day when every person must grow up and realize that I've been reveling in bad puns from day one. It's called becoming a man.

Plus, it combos nicely with calling Persona "Purse-owner" in a year when a new main entry is being released, so I'm going to be milkin' this one as long as I can.

How dare you make my precious PS4's controller dusty?!

On topic, anyone read the title as "Translator?" I was expecting a completely different game... oh well. It'll be a day one for me. Or maybe a day -X, since I'm gonna pirate it~

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
