We need more information. How do you expect us to help when you provide so little?

Why can't it boot to Windows 8? What message was displayed? Can you enter BIOS? Did you reset BIOS? Was it a bad flash?

[ I dont know if this is true, so dont blame me if anything happens!]

I was told that If you take out the battery from your motherboard, the bios will be reset, so you could try that?

Taking the battery out fixes a lot of problems with the BIOS. First of all, see if you can still access the BIOS.

Make sure that there is absolutely no power. Take out the power cord, and press the power button a few times. If you open up your pc, and you can see your motherboard, you'll see the battery. It's silver-colored so you should find it easily. Take it out for half a hour, to make sure it has enough time to reset itself. Put it back in, and see what happens.

Worst case scenario, you've screwed up your motherboard. If you have another PC you plug the HDD in to that PC as a secondary HDD. That way you'll still have your data.

Others seem to be helping and I have little to add at the moment there. However I should mention a lot of newer motherboards have a backup/secondary or limp home BIOS mode so a bad flash is no longer a new motherboard/"oh bugger, guess I get to buy or build a EEPROM flasher" affair. You tend to have to select it using a jumper or a switch on the motherboard though.

So basicly I believe it to be a bad flash guys, bc when i try and load up my PC the screen stays black and the fans are just running really fast, I can see that the PC wants to boot but something is impeding it from starting? I've tried taking the battery out and still get the same results. I saw a vid on YouTube that explains that allot of PCs have this little blue square thats sitting on one prong and u just have to take it off and place it on both than hit power and its suppose reset the CMOS/bios. That's all fine and dandy but my PC has two of those, one says rest CMOS and is actually three pins while the two pin one says password rest.

I'm gonna take some pics and post them so u guys can see my rigs setup so u can see what I'm looking at k

My pc is a Dell XPS 730x ☺

Taking out battery and wait for 15 minutes before putting it back. If that doesn't work then reseting CMOS didn't fix your problem. The blue thing you are talking about is jumper, just another way to reset CMOS. If the battery trick doesn't work, jumper ain't going to work either.

In your case since you are using OEM computer I highly doubt it has secondary/backup BIOS. That's a feature available to high-end individual motherboard.

Bad flash for OEM computer generally mean you are screwed.

Pretty sure that if he used Dell's tools, he should be covered. Their updates are their responsibility. If he didn't though, that's a different story.

Nope. OEM pretty much will turn you away if they knew BIOS was bricked. When you download BIOS update they generally will put out "we are not responsible for it".

Not sure if any of those pics helps guys, and let's say I am screwed what are my options for unscrewing me?
Call Dell, and simply tell them your computer blackscreened. Do not mention BIOS flash. They will ask you to do series of troubleshooting before authorizing a repair.

I have jump drives and an external 2tb hard drive, but how am I going install the bios if the only thing my PC will do is turn on and ramp up all the fans super fast, no display on the screen either just the fans going mach 5 lol also the bios I was on was 1.0.5 I believe, and dells not going to help me either way especially since their suing me bc of their own arrogance (long story). I've had this PC for close to 7 years I believe.

It has to be the bios issue, I basicly was half asleep last night when I did this so its my fault, but there has to be a fix to this, so last night I basicly thought to just redownload the bios 1.0.5 and reflash the one I already had which was the 1.0.5 bc my pc wasnt reconising the usb hub and than everything on my PC locked up complelely hell even the mouse and keyboard stopped working so I wasn't able to press the reboot button, so me being half asleep pullwd the plug and well u know the rest, gawd I feel like an idiot, in hind sight I know to never mess with flashing the bios.

God I'm stupid, I really appreciate the time and help guys thank u ☺
