I have been using it ever since I did the brick tests....still no brick but as per usual Disclaimer time......whilst I have not had any bricks when avoiding diagnostics, it does not mean its impossible, only use it if you are aware of the risk and are prepared to face the BSOD

I think I might have to consider using 2.0b2 again because the instability of b1 is kinda annoying. At least till 2.0 comes out (*cough* if it ever will *cough*)

Just answer this question, are you capable of unbricking should the worst happen?(or know someone who can do it for you) I wouldn't want anyone to be bricked unless they are at least ready if the worst does happen :)

Been using it since it was released. 0 problems so far. Just used standard white cart + 2.0b launcher unmodified.

Did the USB mod awhile back for nand dumps and restores.

Yeah. Ditto.

I've got a Rpi, I've got my usb cables and stuff. I've got the mSD smd connectors, all I need is better soldering skills. Once I know I can make the custom cable, I will use 2.0b2.

That's the only reason hesitating to use b2. I can't unbrick it myself and here in Switzerland I might be the only guy with a GW.

I suppose the best thing for you to do is to stay on 2.0b1.

Your alternative options would be to get a RPi and associated tools and accessories required OR for you to get a different flash cart.

Depending on how much it would cost for you to procure a RPi and the require tools, it might be more economical for you to get a different flash card. But the RPi is good for other stuff too. I'm using mine as a XBMC set up for now.

Didn't the different flashcarts go back to firmware based on 2.0b1, so if you use them you'll still have the same problem as 2.0b1 on Gateway?

Actually I was referring to either the MT-card or the yet-to-be-confirmed evo3ds

Definitely not 3dlink nor r4i

Been running it on a U.S. 3DS and a EU XL since it was released. Never ran any diagnostic tests though. Never understood why anyone would do that anyway if everything seemed to be working to start with.
We'll some people who had errors with their gateway cards ran it to try diagnose what was wrong......that's what it "was" there for, it's not really the users fault unless they where running it simply to have a mini rave with the LED

I've been using it since I got the free pokemon y via the promotion. I should probably switch back to 2.0b1 since I don't need to use eshop anymore but I'm too lazy to bother lol.

I'm still using 2.02b, but I kind of want to go over to beta 1.
Only problem I have is that I have to update my 3DS...
I have no surefire way of doing it.
I have data on my SD card I want to keep like saves, but I don't know what is save to keep, and what to format.
I don't know how to update, do I do it with the current GW firmware and just let it update from there?
Or do I have to format everything and then do the whole GW setup again?
All this shit is confusing the hell out of me...

If I keep 2.02b, do I just update while I'm in GW mode? Or do I format and lose my stuff?
If I downgrade to 2.01b, do I format all my shit, do the GW guide and upgrade to the latest FW?

How do I Gateway?!?!?
I can't believe this is so much harder to do than messing with the PSP... :/

Here on 2x XL's since day 1, no issues, multiple power offs restarts etc, haven't used diagnostics though, but using quality MicroSD's and SD cards so no need :)

Just change the launcher on your SD card

I had downgraded to B1 for for safety, but I had issues running a certain game so I'm back on B2 for the last couple of months. No problems.

Should the worst happen, I've got the soldering skills. Just need a Raspberry Pi, but I've been thinking of getting one to tinker with anyway.
