I know the PS3 and 360 are gonna stop supporting games In a couple of years (Since PS4 and X1 is out), so I was wondering when they Stop supporting for the PS3/360 what happens to the Wii U since It's like 8 Years late?. I know third party developers will Still be porting titles To next gen Systems, but what about Wii U Since It's really 7th gen.

As long as the Wii U successor isn't out, the Wii U will be supported. The Wii is still supported, albeit only for a few months any more, and the Wii U has been out for a while now.

they will close the ds services, does that mean they will stop supporting the ds system?

What? Are you talking about the online servers? Are you talking about releasing new games? Are you talking about tech support services?

I don't know what else you could be talking about and I don't see how any of those things have anything to do with PS3/360 (which I think have at least a couple of more years left in them). So the PS3 and 360 are no longer sold, no longer have online servers, no longer has games being released, and no longer has tech support.....what does any of that have to with the Wii U or how much processing power it has? The third party multi-platform games that come out on 360 and PS3 barely come to Wii U now so how is that any different if mulit-plat PS4 and Xbone games don't come to Wii U either. 3rd party games barely exist on Wii U at all outside of a bunch of ports that got released at launch and some ubisoft titles.

Generation doesn't mean hardware power its Nintendo's next gen system so its in with PS4/X1

I'm saying That the Wii U Basically have the same power as the 360 and PS3, but It's higher than those two. It's considered 8th gen, but It's 7th Gen hardware really. I'm saying since The graphic power is (equal but slightly higher) than the PS3, and Xbox 360 when The PS3, and 360 stop supporting games will the Wii U stop being supported since the graphic power is equal to the PS3 and 360?. Nintendo should have release this when the 360 came out that's why third party developers are not supporting it because it's late hardware That's what im guessing.

Its got more than 360/PS3 definitely but not by a lot. Yes it does hurt the Wii U in the third party games because it has to be developed for different and weaker hardware than the X1/PS4. Devs are ignoring it over the gamepad as well which is annoying because the Wii U and the gamepad has potential to make some really different, fresh games.

Yeah, but what is the connection between games coming out for ps3 and 360 and wii u?

Games don't come to the wii u just because they were built on ps3 or 360 level of processing power. I still can't play gta v on my wii u.

Third parties mostly avoid wii u because the install base is small and the install base barely buys third party games anyway and it's not worth the cost of porting the game over if they don't make it back on sales.

Processing power has barely anything do with it.

Wii U owners don't care about 3rd party games. 3rd party games are just gravy. Some of us want backup loaders for the 3rd party games. We spend our entire video game budget on 1st party titles, there is no money left for 3rd party games. There are more important things in life to spend money on than 3rd party games. I have an addiction to Nintendo 1st party games. I have no such addiction to 3rd party games. I'm sure that I would enjoy a few of them, but I don't know about them and don't really need to play them. Instead of a $60 3rd party game, I would rather buy a $30 steak and a $30 bottle of wine. Do you know how much going to a friends wedding costs? You have to buy the plane ticket, the hotel room, the wedding present, plus some food, drink, ground transportation, etc. Most people have higher priorities than 3rd party games. They don't have any nostalgia value.

This is a total load of Crap.
As a Wii U owner, one of the sole reasons I DONT play my Wii u is the sheer LACK of third party titles.
Third parties don't have nostalgia Value? ...What???
There are plenty of third party titles people have extreme value to, I think you're generalizing WAYYYYYY to much.

As for the topic at hand, third parties are barely coming to the Wii U anyway, I assume in the future title just be Nintendo First party's, whatever third parties they somehow manage to keep hold of, and shovel ware.

Same thing that happened with PS3/360 and the Wii, I guess. Hopefully with less Mii crap and some more decent games that won't take the near sunset of the Nintendo console to come out. How many years did we have to wait to have a bunch of decent games for the Wii?

But really, give me only 5 games already out in Europe worthy enough to buy a Wii U and I swear to God I am going to get it in April. This is from the PC Master Race guy.

1. I was comparing the power because It's (7th gen) late hardware (but it's considered 8th gen) who want's to work on (7th gen) late hardware when it's suppose to be up to par with the real 8th gen PS4, and X1. The graphics are the same as 360, and PS3, but slightly higher. Nobody want's to work on it because it's late hardware That's what Im saying. Nintendo pull it off with the Wii, and they successfully Owned it, but not the Wii U :(.

2.The Install base can use external hard drives If that's the case?.
Third parties won't pay attention because it's (7th Gen) late hardware.

3. Look at this Why Arkham Knight Isn't on Wii U.

I have to agree with you. Attending a wedding is not cheap at all. It is similar to owning a dog. Sure dog food is pretty cheap but then you have all of the hidden costs like vet bills, medicine, kennel hire (if you are planning on going away.)

My wife and I are planning on going overseas at the end of the year. $600 it will cost to put the dog in a kennel for the 6 weeks. I couldn't believe it! But lucky for us (and Pippin) we now have a friend who Pippin is going to be staying with.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to matter much. AAA-producers barely care for the wiiu because of the small install base and all the extra work they will have to put into converting it (which is much harder than xbone->PS4 or vice versa). The sheer horsepower isn't as an issue, but not as much. Remember that today's PS3 and 360 games could theoretically work on the wiiu, as well as probably all the indy games...but those don't exactly storm the eshop either.

I find your reasoning to be completely nonsense. How can you say you don't need third-party game or that they have no nostalgia value when you admitted you know nothing about them? Surely you were taught better than that.

And rather say that there are more important things to take care of than third-party game, how about expand that to every game. After all getting food on the table is much more important than video gaming, Nintendo or not. If you really want to talk about price keep in mind that most used third-party games are cheaper than used Nintendo games.

Just be honest with yourself and say you like Nintendo game while hate other games, we get it. But to say your opinion represents most if not every Wii U owner is just nonsense.

Wiiu owner here , expressing his total disappointment in the lack of 3rd party games , and tbh disappointment in nintendos games to date , with a system that was supposed to be their new flag ship they havent given us half of what we expected , a hd zelda - ok its not bad but its a rehash , we wanted an epic new one. 3d mario - its not shite by any standards but isnt the epic open world we wanted. Donkey kong is pretty good , the lego exclusive was fun , but coulda been better . cod without DLC again - well one free map isnt what older consoles get. i could go on and on . but my point is made , disappointed is the best word to fit an honest wiiu owner.

it kinda speaks volumes really when i visit pre owned stores and theres like half a shelf dedicated to the U with 3 or four crap games available - no one owns any games to trade .

The biggest disappointment comes from the fact that Nintendo promised that Wii U is their attempt on bring core gamers back to Nintendo side, yet they put very little effort into making that happen.

5 games? Easy.

1) New Super Mario U and Super Luigi U.

2) Super Mario 3D World

3) Pikmin 3

4) Zelda Windwaker

5) Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

That's 5 already and only a few of the games. Don't forget Mario Kart 8 is coming out soon. That's the biggest deal. Mario Kart is the main reason to keep buying Nintendo console's.
