After watching the EVO3DS Multirom video, I'm actually a lot less convinced it's the same team behind Gateway. It seems on the Evo3DS, you simply hold UP on the D-pad to change games, whereas Gateway's video showed an actual game selection GUI.

Well, if you were to switch brands and release the demonstrated multi rom while people suspected what has happened, would you present an identical multirom function under a different name, or would you change it to avoid suspicion?

I mean, i find this all pretty damn transparent. I have no idea how so many people aren't seeing whats going on.
The way evo3ds's videos are produced is very Gateway-ish as well.

Gateway Team are cloning themselves.

Thank you for the insight.

It all seems a little bit too convenient and might as well be a prank or a publicity stunt to promote the new card - if this was the Gateway team and they had any sense at all, they would distance themselves from their previous product as much as humanly possible instead of using the same layout on the site, similar backgrounds and similar videos with the same painted nails, especially after the bricking code controversy. On one hand, I wouldn't be surprised if Gateway was abandoned since they've lost a lot of credibility despite being great innovators, on the other Gateway was the first and is generally considered to be top of the line in comparison to all the clones. All speculation for now, we'll see what happens later down the line. It's definitely something the staff will keep an eye on.

Like Foxi4 said, we're not quite keen on adding fuel to a speculative fire, but rest assured, if there's anything that is concrete and reliable that we get our hands on, you guys will always be the first to know. :)

LOL @ Foxi, really? at the moment it looks like GW are using default templates while they design their new site. Easier to use GW site files to design the new site. EVO3DS hasn't exactly been announced yet and they are building the site AS WE SPEAK.

Surely you're entire post there contradicts itself? ;

Thread : There may be a new card on the market
Post: It has x features
Post: GW was promising /all this in next update
Post: Perhaps they're linked?

... It's on topic no?

If in fact the EVO and GW are linked than it's bad news for GW users since the older GW must be missing something that cannot run all those new features so hence a new card?

ops GW nad EVO have the same web site..........hhhh!maybe they are the same team....and i'll not buy a EVO card :P

How about adding the shit as well, and not just acting like advertisement?

The 'Shit' is exactly that for now... Shit and speculation. Regardless of if this is GW or not it's still another product on the market - Thus has a place here on GBATemp.

Yeah, can't let a company have some bad pr right? I mean, are you getting money from them? People are fucking domesticated by companies.. I wouldn't give a slightest shit if this company got some bad pr and wans't Gateway. They were probably completely aware of the GW situation and chose a really horrendous moment to announce their flashcard. They did bring it on themselves.

But let's face it. Gateways 2.0 features, right after Gateway went AWOL, the mail, and the biggest evidence of all, their website template. Be sure of this. In a while the lines will be gone from their site and that will only reinforce my opinion.
