Hardware Good, durable and affordable mouse

My current mouse is starting to have issues with registering the wheel click (I use that a lot to open new tabs and closing them), it's already driving me insane after a few hours, and this is not the first time I have this issue. Though I shouldn't be too surprised as I just have used cheap about 10€ Microsoft wireless USB mice <-<

For my gaming habits, I don't game with mouse+keyboard that often, but lately I've played some Antichamber and Thief Deadly Shadows that use the mouse, and some MMOs. So while a mouse great for gaming would be neat, it's not a necessity. (Bonus points if the colour is pretty blue >-> )

So what would you people recommend? I'd like something that's... under 40€, but I think I can go above if you can back your suggestion up good enough. But anything over 60€ is going to be painful. Wireless would be preferred, but wired will not be an issue.

Cooler Master Storm Spawn if you prefer claw
Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical White is also really damn great, not sure how much it goes for though.

Zowie also makes amazing mice. Zowei FK if you want an ambidexterous mouse, if not get the EC1/EC2 eVo (EC1 is a bit larger.)

Logitech G400 is another great one.

This is by far the best mouse i've ever used. The glow color is completely customizable, as is all the buttons on the mouse itself.

Don't waste your money on a cheap $10 mouse. maybe it's good for a few months, but you'll end up having to buy a new one eventually. Invest in a more expensive one that will last you longer

For a wired option, I'd recommend a Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 as seen here
It's really comfortable and mine has lasted me over a year (which is saying something in my home)

And on other note, are Mazer mice any good? I found a pretty cool looking one here. (I do know appearances don't matter in the end, but if I can get a neat one then it's a bonus).

You also want to look at the DPI, if you get a mouse with a low DPI you have to move the mouse way more to get the cursor smoothly across the screen. The mouse you linked only goes up to 2500DPI, I couldn't live without 3200DPI. Just personal preference I guess.

It's all personal preference, I can never use anything lower than 3200DPI because it seems way too slow. I have to move my mouse farther to just get the cursor across the screen which seems really inefficient. with a higher DPI it's more sensitive and moves alot quicker and farther. It's really helpful for fast paced games and whatnot.
I've tried using my other mouse which was just a basic $15 microsoft mouse after I got my Kone Pure and it's so different. Buying a better mouse really makes a difference and you will notice it after you start using it more.

Higher DPI definitely makes a difference, but what you set it at is all personal preference

I couldn't say for sure but I imagine it's the same thing with a decorated shell. Looks a bit shiny though - I like the matte effect of the plain black model.

The difference between the two is pretty minimal to an everyday user. Optical mice use an LED to track movement, and laser mice use an actual laser. Since the laser is more focused, they can generally track movement much easier/more precisely, increasing DPI. Also lasers are just plain cooler.

Higher DPI is generally better, but at the same time if you're used to lower DPI you might feel awkward with a higher DPI. I generally keep my G700 on 1600 DPI. 3200 being top which is just way too sensitive for me. A mouse like that Sharkoon might be a good idea since it has multiple DPI settings. Lets you understand what you're comfortable with. Though, it's wired and i'd find that awkward on a laptop.

Anyway, the Sharkoon Fireglider is probably best. Quite cheap for what it offers and looks well designed. I'd suggest the Logitech G700 but it's definitely out of that price range, and the lesser models aren't that great.

Oh and yeah that Fireglider you linked is the exact same thing with a different shell.

Well it can hardly be worse than my current one. The only small worry I have is that the size and the weight will take some getting used to as my current mouse is tiny, but it's not my first time jumping from a tiny mouse to a big one so I know that's not going to be an issue for long. And I preferred a bigger mouse. No pressure

I got the mouse yesterday, and after using it for a day, I have to say I love it, and it fits my hand like a glove. Thank you Depravo for the suggestion
