My account is not a dupe. I do not follow your path bro. You always try to cause conflict to stir things up to keep people wanting to do work, you try to manipulate everyone on the forums with your outrageous "Any updates" then "it's dead" then you bash on F0F then you pucker up and smooch on their behinds. You will do anything and say anything to try to get this to work for you and try to use "Post counts" as your reasoning for smacking a person down who calls you out on it and personally I am sick of it. Yes 3 posts, Lurked for awhile finally made an account. I am sure they can go check my IP and it will have no alternate accounts or ever had an account ever made from it.

Personally I think if you want to bash on the project, the hackers who have their info but do not feel like giving it out for you to pirate your games, with any negativity, you should just go away, because all you do is piss them off, and make them not care to do any more development. You are the cancer in the Homebew Scene.
Spoken like "them" lol. Maxternal tries. He is a great person on here. People prank (see "four horsemen"), brag but have no real skills, have skills but don't help enough to matter, and I tried being nice. Scenes have braggarts and secrecy. Have nots on one hand and have but won't fully share on the other hand. The steps I detailed are still needed. Maxternal would say the same thing.

A lot to go and an exploit is still needed. BUT, the exploit opens it up to others who may share it all. See why it is not likely to get released. Read Marcan's posts. Caw offered to help and they ridiculed him. Want this, need that, make this...should have been faster, nobody to maintain ecosystem. Making fun of people, flame baiting, wishing death, sharing pm(s) would be tos violations. Who is kissing ass?
Wait...people think they will get something so they stay quiet.

When they help and release I'll eat my hat.

Edit: people from other scenes passed on Wii U and I respect that. They never said they hacked it. They think it is silly also but they shared and released on their projects.. If they were involved you would see info shared and hardware to add functionality to the hack. Cross scene politics is silly at best. Cool, three cores show up.

Untill now, all consoles from the past got hacked. Why would the wiiu be any different?
If you would follow Maxternal's progress, you would know he has a life.
You won't find him very often on irc at the weekends...

If you really are feeling depressed about the speed things ae progressing, start working on it yourself.
You won't have time anymore to feel depressed.
Let's not forget that hacking a console is it's ultimate game, and you don't have to pay for it.
Maxternal starts to understand that game and is moving forward trough it's levels.
Team fof lost interest as they don't find the game challenging anymore..
The problem with the game of hacking is the fact that the first levels are the most difficult.
The levels become easier the more you progress. It's the opposite of other games.

They also become repetitive and less interesting.

Hacking is like an inverse RPG. You get the final boss at the beginning, then the pre-bosses, and then the rest is just grinding - and you finish the game by giving away your inventory, so that others can play the next game (homebrew app development) the way it was intended.

We got bored at the grinding bit. The motivation to do that part is normally so that you (and others) get to play the other game in the end - but we're unconvinced it's a very good game this time around...

And you stopped, hence the lack of "giving away your inventory".

Ok obcd, it looks like you're not leaving this thread anytime soon. Has Maxternal gotten his money yet, avoiding the "toadies"?

But that's always the case, isn't it? Where there's homebrew, there's piracy?

I think it is more to the fact that Homebrew used to be more than just piracy and that is what made it fun. A lot of the scene hackers do not support piracy and feel no need to put all their work and time into something that immediately turns into nothing but piracy. Most of them do what they do for fun. Marcan said it best, at least the way I took it was that they don't feel like doing all that grunt work just for you to be able to play backups of any kind (emulators, wii, wiiU and all the rest of pirated games). And with how accessible it is for most of the "homebrew" game creators to just start making apps for Android.....Why go back to console?

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but does that mean that f0f aren't up to the challenge to create an exploit? it may be easier for creators to make apps for Android, but what looks better, creating an app for a closed-source system made by a company who frowns upon such a thing, or creating apps for open-source, laden-with-tutorials software from a company that encourages and even offers to sell it? and this is just from my standpoint, one of the things I enjoyed the most about Wii homebrew were all the customizations you could apply to games and menus and the like, while backup loaders gave me so many issues (I even posted here about it) I gave up. I dunno, just my personal opinion, I understand if you and others don't feel this way.

I dunno, I don't talk to them, was just giving my opinion. I understand what they are saying, not many people on the Wii scene have shown much interest to dabble into the WiiU scene. They hacked it, they found exploits to get something going, but why do all that work just for piracy? That is what I think their mindset is. Hate em or love em for it (even then I don't think they really care much either way).

So where that does leave the Wii U scene now and for the near future?

for now!!! its not gonna change anytime soon in my opinion. and too everyone that bangs on about oh but piracy........ its gonna happen. doesnt mean thats what i want an exploit for but its gonna happen. tbh i just want a dvd player better then mplayerce in wii u mode and possible a music player to play over the top of games. other then that i dont have any interest (maybe a couple emulaters) and more to the point piracy isnt whats gonna kill this console..... the big N have definatly done a good job on its own for that lol

Wow, my split personality was busy. New avatar, the rant, lol. I hope there is a new source. I'd like the access others have. On ps3hax there was a post on ida? Wii U section. Without Wii U ios I am not sure how useful it is.

Just so everyone knows I didn't pull a 3DS decap

Awesome!!!!! The vid is funny also. I sent you a PM to clarify. I know you will keep going and of course I cheer you on. Disappointed with some lying (like 3ds decapping types, lol) and at the minimum exaggerating their skills/abilities (goes back over a year). Regardless, enjoy those kids. For the time alone that you've spent you earned that Wii U. Others would not try and we all know some that "Would do it easily" have not tried;-) Oh, don't break it!!! Not sure about the age of your kids BUT the off screen play on gamepad is very useful. Wherever that thing goes the kids will go after it(gamepad). Seeing you get the Wii U is truly a highlight of my day. It could not have happened to a nicer guy (that I've seen on this site). :toot:

--Plus side is you can test a lot more quickly then ask for help as needed.
