After never having be able to get a Virtual NAND going under WiiFlow or using one of the other methods, I decided I was just going to dedicate an SD card to the job of holding all my WiiWare and VCs.

The problem I've discovered (aside of the slow load time) is the fact that while some games and VC's work fine off the SD...

...others do not, and demand to be launched directly from system memory instead.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I can almost swear that I did this before a long time ago and some of the VC's that presently do not work (NES ones), worked fine off SD before.

As for Wiiware that does not run off SD, there are too many to list. Sadly it's most the ones that are actually worth playing.

For the note, I've tried both class 6 and class 10 cards with this as well as three different brands but to no avail this time around.

I just went through moving every wiiware game I ever cared about to my sd card... Took way too long. Which games are you trying to run from SD? I'll try them myself and let you know how it goes.

Thank you.

Strong Bad, Monkey Island, Nintendo VC's and N64 VC's do not work for me, there are others, but those come to mind.

I am using a class 6 16Gb card and a class 10 32Gb. Should I perhaps be using a 2Gb card instead?

download and setup uneek2o(USB Device) or Sneek(SD Card) using modmii
i'd give you links to files but it's been a while since I set it all up also download showmiiwads it's great for managing a emulated nand, and check with the irc chat room on the abjects server for uneek2o for the latest updates and fixes on problems

I personally would choose Uneek2o but thats because I use a 1TB USB hard drive. after you set up neek(Uneek or Sneek) you'll be able to launch your vc/wiiware titles through any usbloader

I set up uneek2o last night as a matter of fact... I finally found a guide that made it all clear and included a link to a pre-made NAND to make things easier since the one's I was creating seemed not to work ever.

Anyhow, uneek2o is pretty damn nice, though some games like MDK2 and Castlevania Rebirth tend to crash and burn still.

Use postloader for games that don't boot under system menu on uneek

And if you create the nand with modmii you need to uses the serial number from the bottom of your wii you must input the last number that sits inside the box beside the serial number or else it doesn't work
