Hey,
Looking for tips and whether anyone else has encountered a similar issue. I have 4 different Wiimotes all with their original jackets. There's only one that I don't use much (it's the Mario edition Wii Remote Plus) and most of the time it's hidden away under the TV in a drawer. It exhibits a really bad smell. The other three (Luigi edition, Zelda limited edition, black one that came with Wii Party U) are in active use and they don't smell bad at all.
I never noticed any odd odors in any of the Wiimotes until today when I took out the batteries for each one to recharge. That's when the Mario edition Wiimote with the red jacket smelled very strong. Almost cheese-like. I always wash hands before playing and my most used Wiimote is the Zelda limited edition which smells nice actually (like soap).
Since it's silicone, treating it with chemicals will just change the odor. But does anyone have an idea of how to get rid of that smell or make it nicer?
Thanks, any help appreciated!
