Hi everybody !

Since the card let us play in local mode, is there any way to create a "hotspot" wich join a hamachi or tunngle network for people to play together with their hacked games ?

I'm thinking to this about 1 hour to see if it's possible or not, and I think it is !
What do you think ?! It wouldn't be great as hell ?!

No more network but a "undergound network" !

Edit : Anyone can give it a try with me ?
With "MypublicWifi" you can join a network and create a hotspot, it's freeware !
http://mypublicwifi.com/publicwifi/en/index.html

So I think you can create joining the "Tunngle" or "Hamachi" network card
I'm using Tunngle

Unfortunatly, without a real Custom Firmware for 3DS i belive something like this wont be possible. Iirc, the method you are describing needed some kind of plugin when used with the PSP. I would assume, that this would also be the case for 3DS.
I would love to be able to play some Monster Hunter 4 with others, but very unlikely until Network Play is supported by Gateway, or a real CFW surfices

With the original DS I know that the local wireless play signal was rsa secure or something that made tunneling impossible. They tried for a long time, I remember xlink kai even had committed to the project but after a year or so fell off citing that it was too much work to get done.

I'd assume it's the same setup for the 3DS.

Currently, and this is my speculation from what I've gathered, the flash cards act as some sort of "dev" card or something because the online modes are instantly disabled. I think that they set their card in this way to work around region and firmware version locks.

Now that they have emunand up and running, perhaps there can be a way for them to revert the card to the original Gateway 1.0 software's cart mode and re-enable online play but lose region free and only be able to play online through emunand.

Again, all speculation.

Part of the problem is also that local play assumes there will be very little ping. If you're tunneling it through the internet, ping would massively increase and cause all sorts of issues.

When a CFW will be released, developpers will do like PSP, the update feature will be link to their server and not no Nintendo server, so Network will be managed

Thanks for information about this "dev card" feature. I don't even known that 1.0 worked online Oo ?!

For the future, I would like them to give more informations about selecting the mode (with L). I just understand the "Classic mode" was !
Maybe the will add more "Modes" ?

Sure local playing it's fast, I never found people to play with, but in DS, I had some lag on Mario Kart even when i was playing in autobus with someone 3 meters next to me.
Despite the "gaming issues" itself. I was talking about possibility ! Maybe like beenii said, when a CFW will come, some dev will develop an underground playing homebrew that make all this possible :)

PS: I tried sharing the Tunngle network anyway, it connect but the internet test failed
Using the browser, my Ip was 7.x.x.x and I think the 3DS local playing uses other numbers too
