I'd just check ebay. DX hasn't been worth ordering from for several years IMO. Most things they have are available immediately (and cheaper) via ebay sellers who have the item in stock. I've waited months for items from DX, split orders, ect.

Not as far as I can tell... And I assure you I've been looking long and hard (death to anyone who says "That's what she said!"). There were some caps meant to go over the whole thing (existing rubber and all) available at one point, but those seem to no longer be in production and no one has any stock as far as I can tell. :-/

By all means, if you find them somewhere let us know. I nicked my rubber w/ my finger nail some time ago and that nick eventually became a small hole you can see the white plastic of the stick behind.

Yeah sure, I'll post in this thread if I find any. Cause I'm dying here using my black plastic circle pad.

The only recommendation I have, having done so myself, is to order a Circle Pad Pro at the moment and swap the circle pad from that into your 3DS. They are the same and do in fact fit one another.

If you can find a used CPP on ebay that has a good quality circle pad, that's probably going to be your best option.

I've heard people doing that actually. What I'm worried about is whether the rubber will tear if I try to remove it from the CPP.
But if it doesn't, it'll be a great idea since we can get a CPP along with the rubber. :P
Thanks for the idea!

To get it out you're applying more of an outward pushing force from the inside than you are twisting force (which you do need to do) while removing it. Don't use pliers or anything other than your hands and it would be pretty hard to screw it up. Mine came out of my CPP flawlessly, and back in my 3DS just the same.

Keep in mind the 3DS is a right cunt to disassemble and reassemble to the point that you need it to be to install a new circle pad. I've done complete teardowns and reassemblies of DS Lites, and holy shit, those are nothing compared to the 3DS.

Thanks!
Well I searched ebay, most of the $30 less altogether CPP are Japanese and EU versions. Will other region CPPs work with my US 3DS?
The cheapest out of them all is a used CPP for $23 altogether, so I really would not like to buy a "rubber" for that price.

CPPs are region free.

If the cheapest you can find is $23 used, just buy it from Nintendo.

3DS and 3DS XL (out of stock)

Actually it's a new $23 CPP. ^_^
Nintendo can't ship to my country so I guess that's a great ebay deal for me. Thanks!

I only found this online but not to sure if would work but worth giving it a try bro :grog:

Oh wow! Are those really circle pad rubbers? I'm not entirely sure cause I've seen a youtube video showing those kind of rubbers going on top of the original rubber for more height and grip.

Is the circle pad module (both rubble and the stick itself ) all the same on all 3ds system(3ds/3ds XL/ 2ds) and CCP ?

I bought a used 3Ds so my pad is a bit scratched up, still functional. I have a CPP, but the pad on there is even worse. Are there any caps made for other controllers that might fit the CPP? That would be my ideal solution as the CPP functions well enough to not justify buying a CPP to gut.

Nothing else taht I have ever seen fits the circle pad's slider mechanism.

Well all I can find are a few Japanese products. I could have my cousin try to track some down for me and send them.
Yesasia has them for sale, although I remember reading that people had their orders cancelled due to no stock. Tempted to try though.

Well these would cost me about $15 after shipping. I'm curious if anyone would consider buying/splitting some of the pads with me. I really only need two, or four tops. http://www.yesasia.com/us/3ds-ll-extra-pad-black-japan-version/1033059631-0-0-0-en/info.html

Those would be the slider covers I mentioned... And if you notice, their status is "back ordered". I suspect you will never receive them if you do try to order them. Again, no one makes them anymore (from my research) and no one has any left over stock.

Please, someone prove me wrong! I would really love a solution that doesn't mean buying an hauling apart a CPP to replace the "rubber" on my 3DS' slider.
