Yes, I saw that, but I believe that is an internal HDD for a laptop, offering no way to plug it in externally.

You'll be looking for a 2.5" internal hard drive or portable hard drive to tear open. Im not sure you can get a 2TB 2.5" hard drive ???, Think they only come in 3.5". EDIT: < Guess you can get a 2TB hard drive :) Thanks GBA rocks

Your best bet is internal 12.5 mm 2.5" 2TB HDD with USB to SATA adapter.

These days external HDD tends to glue togther rather than screwed together. So gutting it is a bad idea.

Recently a 9.5mm came out.

Unrelated, it's a pity ps3 is software limited to 1tb for internal.

You also need to secure the HDD and provide vibration dampening. Otherwise it will sound very loud.

PS3 is hardware limited to 1TB internal. Try anything more than 1TB and the drive is unreadable. PS3 uses older SATA 1.5 Gbps controller.

Then I wonder if there might be a way to make it completely internal (not having to cut a hole for the cable to loop to the USB port, and possibly keep functionality with both ports)
