Streeve, please try to explain exactly what you did, and the conditions of your 3DS, SD, etc; otherwise, not even Gateway will be able to do something about this problem.
Step by step:
4.4.0-10E 3DS XL with Gateway 3ds exploited installed. Everything worked perfectly. Tried out a couple of region locked games as well as regions corresponding with my own. Enjoyed the region free bit quite a lot, since that's the only reason I really bought a Gateway 3DS to begin with. All games were played as instructed, in Gateway mode. Updated the EMUnand to GW3DS 7.1.0.14-E at the same time as I installed the exploit, and that worked fine. Didn't bother trying out any of the internet based applications, just out of precaution NOT wanting to brick the system I just bought for 260 dollars + Gateway 3DS for 100 dollars.
I did not play any retail carts at all, as the imported games I have are still sealedi. (As a matter of fact, I just sold my old model one with all the PAL games, for this very purpose, to be able to play the imports)
(People claiming I was "probably acting careless" need not to reply to the thread anymore. I have experience of modding PS2s, PSPs, Wiis, Xboxes, dreamcasts. Software as well as hardware. All in all, I know what i'm doing. This is obviously some sort of bug that bricks your 3DS,
IF this is the fault of the GW3DS, which we cannot be 100% sure of yet.)
I go in to system settings in GW3DS mode. I go in to Data Management, wanting to check if there was anything installed on the SD card from GW3DS that the 3DS would be able to recognize, or applications from the games I had tried out.
And this is where it all happened. I instinctively press "Streetpass Management", and it says it installs something to my SD card. It takes 0.5 seconds for the files to install, and I wasn't even able to react to press "cancel". It installs the files, and it seems fine. I then exit the screen, and BAM. Blue screen of death, with the error message I posted in my initial post. It's stuck there, period.
My real NAND did not have Streetpass, nor spotpass enabeled, and it did not have have Wi-Fi enabeled. I also had no intention of enabling it on my EMUnand (Except for when I updated the EMUnand firmware).
Needless to say, I'm rather pissed off at the moment.
