I hope Gateway will advise people to have their 3DS plugged into AC when doing the FPGA reprogramming... wouldn't want to lose power in the middle of that or the red card will turn into a paperweight. And we'll have people complaining about it on these forums...

haha man could you change that picture :P At first I thought it was really funny but now since you participate a lot on the forum, I feel like I'm on a gay porn site or something :S

Maybe when I stop seeing what's happening in the picture itself, I will. ;) Just scroll really fast when you see my posts if it bothers you. xD

As you can read on the "3DS LInk 3.3" thread, the new R4i update is, once again, broken. So you may want to avoid it.

Users have reported this so far:
- Doesn't boot games from different regions
- Freezes after entering to System Settings in EmuNAND 7.1

----
I don't know what they wanted to do with this new update, but I could say that it behaves like the GW2.0b1 launcher for some reason (3.0 for the cloned version).

Hi, I just spent about 15 minutes reading through stickies around here.

Multi-Rom support on this MT card seems like huge news, this product was just released I gather. I guess maybe it is so new that even people who ordered them don't have them. That's a huge feature to me.

The requirement of older firmware is still a major bummer, but heck maybe I will seek out an old DS if this card is good.

The firmware and single rom support have been deal breakers for me, I think that info should be plastered more prominently in the stickies. But it seems 3DS cards are getting better and better.

Yeah, the 2.0 release of Gateway's firmware is due very soon, probably within the next couple weeks. It's going to have multi-rom functionality included. After which point, we can expect all the other carts to "borrow" code for multi-rom from either MT or Gateway as well.

One word of caution if you're planning to get an MT card any time soon: it has very low compatibility. Most games/ROMs that require firmware past 4.5 either won't play or don't save.

Cool, thanks for the info.

I probably won't get a card till the 4DS comes out and all the issues are ironed out to go back and play the hidden gems on the system that I missed.... I do like to stay up to date on the latest news though.

Whoa. few weeks? What happened to gateway team saying early days of the new year?

Guys stop complaining... it would be better for gateway to release a fully tested and working update then be like r4 and release a broken update.

Uh huh. Nailed it! 2.0 will come when Hell freezes over. Oh yeah, it will be in the early days of January........2015!
I dunno man, 3DSLink is pretty confident that it's coming soon, what with their "multi-rom WILL be in our 4.0 firmware." Lol.

TBH I don't care if it takes them a little longer to release 2.0 than they've estimated. They're driving the entire 3DS scene solo right now. Once it's stable and released, all the flash carts will benefit from it, and all the whining will be a distant memory.

"I get all the 3DS games for $80, but I can only play ONE AT A TIME! WAAAH! Hurry up and make everything convenient for me!" Pretty childish attitude. If anything, we can at least hope this teaches you some patience.
