i like Nintendo there unique & the only one out of the big 3 that brings something new each console.
but there are some things i been wanting for a while that Nintendo should do.

new3DS - Every 3DS virtual console game should be converted to 3D Classics & DirectorsCut games. If you're going to re-buy a game it should have more.
The original "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" had Dusty Hill Zone, Rock Zone, Wood Zone, Winter Zone, Hidden Palace Zone & more CUT/removed. (most game back then did this because of time limits for development or limited storage) they brought it back for other consoles in the recent updates of Sonic2. they did a nice job with this on "Sonic the Hedgehog: 3D classic" on 3DS, when Sonic2 comes to 3DS make it a 3D classic & add things the originals didn't get to add because of time.
(Update: Sonic the Hedgehog 2: 3D Classics was announced for later this year!!!)

  • new3DS & WiiU - link new3DS/WiiU virtual console game purchases & allow to transfer saves.
  • new3DS & WiiU - stream new3DS to WiiU. (top screen=tv,bottom screen=gamepad) or (top/bottom on both)
  • new3DS & WiiU - new3DS/WiiU cross platform multiplayer & online on more games.
  • new3DS & WiiU - update that allows new3DS to be use as a stand alone WiiU controller. (new3DS eshop recently got a smash bros controller app. what if it got a update to support every WiiU game?)
  • new3DS & WiiU - default play limit for all demos 30-inf, if someone wants to reset to 30 pay 10 with play coins. (infinite play limit if before game releases)
  • new3DS & WiiU - in the media app below, also the feature like ipod nano has to where the new3DS/WiiU gamepad uses the earphone jack as an antenna for radio.
  • new3DS & WiiU - update friendlist, organize friends sort by name, group, folders. if new3DS/wiiu share NNID show both in friendlist. join friends online in more games.
  • new3DS & WiiU - pop up & shared notifications. new3DS/WiiU(top or bottom screen only optional)
  • Miiverse(new3DS/WiiU) wiiuchat, new3DS chat, unified video chat, party chat, group message. also start these from the friend list.

  • new3DS - update & face raiders. (have they forgotten about this?)
  • new3DS - update face raiders or at least make DLC. (have they forgotten about this?)
  • new3DS - update AR games, sell more cards or at least make DLC. (have they forgotten about this?)
  • new3DS - file management/explorer/local media player app for media on SD card & radio(antenna via headset)
  • new3DS - new3DS app to control TV via IR. (like the gamepad)
  • new3DS - update new3DS camera app, better resolution, more features, rename pics/vids, folders.
  • new3DS - update Youtube new3DS, upload 3D videos from new3DS, higher video quality, at least 480p.
  • new3DS - upload/download videos via new3DS browser.
  • new3DS - update hulu/netflix new3DS, better quality videos, 3D & more features.

  • WiiU - faster OS/settings/notifications.
  • WiiU - add option to home menu to show same screen on both TV & WiiU gamepad instead of just switching.
  • WiiU - organize WiiU save data by date/name/or size
  • WiiU - file management/explorer/local media player app for media on SD card /USB drive/HDD, & radio. (antenna via headset)
  • WiiU - WiiU app that allows Blu-Ray/DVD/CD playback. (if Blu-Ray playback is impossible, add update for USB Blu-Ray drive support.
    1273117369733_hz-myalibaba-web8.hst.dsl.en.alidc.net_943.jpg
  • WiiU - add menu & mute button to TV remote.
  • WiiU - update WiiU hulu watch videos on gamepad add more features to hulu/netflix.
  • WiiU - Wii mode option to switch between tv/gamepad,gamepad only or tv only during Wii mode.
  • WiiU - gamepad brightness settings while in Wii mode if playing on gamepad.
  • WiiU - add option for gamepad to auto off(or atleast just the screen) in certain ammount of time if using another controller.
WiiU - a separate Wii mode resolution setting.

  • WiiU - rid of virtual Wii, put Wiiware & content on WiiU menu & eshop if possible. (think it would add more features)
  • WiiU - gamecube disk support (gamecube controller adapter for gamecube games)
  • WiiU - a unified TV>gamepad/gamepad<TV option(games seem to have this option in different places it be easier if it was a universal switch)

  • WiiU accessory - console protector, like screen protector but for the console, because it's glossy.
  • WiiU accessory - WiiU pro controller TPU grip with colors, because the controllers front is too glossy.
  • WiiU accessory - WiimoteU plus with off switch, mic, internal battery with mini USB charging port.
  • WiiU accessory - WiiU pro controller plus with off switch, internal mic, headset port, digital triggers.
  • WiiU accessory - newWiiU gamepad slightly smaller but screen same size, multi-touch, whole matte finish, digital triggers, more aux power so headsets sound louder, higher resolution screen 720p or 1080p, back facing camera & higher resolution front camera.
  • WiiU accessory - WiiU bluetooth USB headset.
  • WiiU accessory - Gamecube/N64/SNES controller adapters via USB for Gamecube/N64/SNES virtual console.

what do you guys think?

anything you would like to see Nintendo do?

What kind of mobile device did you write this on, if any?

There are play limits on demos? And just how can a handheld be turned into a controller? You mean like hooking up your GameBoy to your GameCube via that special cable and playing some GameCube game with it? And I thought the 3DS/U had media management. And lots of the things you're describing befit a computer better. As for accessories; well, they'll come out soon enough.

Ahem, anyway. You should check out the Japanese trailer for the Wii U and also the unboxing of the Wii U (which was hosted on Nintendo's British channel, I might add). They show both the console and the tablet and the ways they interact with each other. Now people in the U.S. are crazy for smartphones/tablets/pron processors, so they show people having fun on the tablet. But you, as a gamer, are truly dumb if you think the Wii U is just a tablet or add-on for the Wii. But I believe there are fourteen year olds out there that call themselves gamers who don't know this.

I would like for Nintendo to release a Paper Mario/Metroid/F-Zero game; maybe all three.

-to the 1st sentence ???

There are play limits on demos?

-there a play limits on most wii u & 3ds demos.

-& the ds could be used as a wireless controller for a few wii games.

And I thought the 3DS/U had media management. And lots of the things you're describing befit a computer better.

-wii u & 3ds have no media management apps, only streaming like youtube hulu, netflix, amazon video. 3ds does have a music player (mp3/mp4) & camera tho. but you have to convert the pictures & video specific format & limited to 10 minuets.

-i live in america lol yea people are dumb sometimes, i knew wha tthe wii u was the moment they announced it tho idk why others are so puzzled, the console is right next to the gamepad do s side by side comparison the wii u console besides the shape cant be mistaken for the wii that's like mistaking shadow for sonic.

To the whole thing. I'm not a grammar nazi, but I've been in school too long and find poorly written articles offensive, if you will. Don't mean to insult you, just saying.
-there a play limits on most wii u & 3ds demos.
Why? I would go on the Wii Shop Channel and download demos for games. I could download them as many times as I wanted without some charge.
-& the ds could be used as a wireless controller for a few wii games.
And the Gameboy could be connected to the GameCube: Super Mario Bros. 3 and Pokemon come to mind.
-wii u & 3ds have no media management apps, only streaming like youtube hulu, netflix, amazon video. 3ds does have a music player (mp3/mp4) & camera tho. but you have to convert the pictures & video specific format & limited to 10 minuets.
What is a music player, if not to organize and manage those seemingly infinite amounts of audio clips on your 3DS? But, you can plug videos and pictures on an SD card and import them to your computer for conversion to do whatever. I find it hard to believe that they would leave out such features on the Wii U. And, all of Nintendo's modern day console manuals come with the suggestion to get a SD card. The 3DS is not a mini-computer, and while the Wii U might be powerful enough to manage all this conversion/save features, it is, and always will be, a dedicated gaming console.

I thought the Wii U was just a tablet when it came out, but then I was talking to myself and said, "that can't be; a tablet is not a gaming console". And I was right. I don't think many people can make this distinction, though. B-b-but Shadow looks just like Sonic; he's just blue.. how could you be so condescending to Sega fans... *troll alert*

i wrote this in a list fashion at 3 in the morning multitasking. i didn't expect an A. this isn't a book i'm writing just a list. you're from Britian? different literature styles?

I'm not sure, i owned Wii as well there were no limits then, but now there are for 3DS & Wii u demos, also there on the eshop.

music player? do you own a Wii u or 3DS? the "Nintendo 3DS sound" app is the music player, you're only able to listen to music, you cannot organize or manage music. but Nintendo 3DS camera you can take pictures & video up to 10 minuets, you can manage delete, copy & edit pictures & videos, you cannot make folders, name, or organize them. & you cant move pictures or videos from PC to be viewed here unless you use a converter, or they were taken on 3DS.
as for the Wii u is has no media player or file management so far. i own one i wouldn't ask for it if it did. for now the only use for SD card is for Wii saves, & content compatibility in vWii mode. you can manage saves tho :P

Oh, I guess that's okay.

Can't say I approve of the 'restrictions'; they weren't on the Wii or the DS. Maybe they were put there by developers to get a little money. Not sure how an extra $.50/1.00 per demo would be worth it, but profit is profit.

I want a Wii U... badly. And you need to convert the files before you can view them in your computer? That's definitely a step back. They've got to change that; that's ridiculous. And the SD card can hold more information than just saves; I wonder why they changed that...

i don't approve of them either, but Wii u & 3DS are different consoles from Wii, DS & DSi. i do believe there put there by developers tho, i think there is 1 3DS demo with unlimited play times. & i wasn't saying paying for a demos.. demos are free but have limits, i was saying give an option reset those limits. of a person need more time to try the game. & it would be profit.

i owned Wii u & 3DS since there launch dates. & no you have to convert videos to view them on 3DS. you can just copy your pictures & videos from your 3DS via SD card & view them on any computer. the SD card on Wii only holds Wii saves, the Wii u uses internal NAND 32GB for saves/DLC/updated/other stuff & you can use usb ports for external hard drives.
the 3DS uses the SD card for pictures/videos/music/gamesaves/DLC/game updates/ & has internal 2GB NAND.

I agee with everything in the OP, except for the AMOLED screen at the bottom... those burn images into the screen. mu phone has the status bar perma-burned into the top, ans it's VERY noticable when watching anime or movies when i turn the screen sideways. :/

a 3D 720p controller screen would be pretty sweet... or at least with a resolution that is 2x the resolution of the 3DS screen, so it can scale the 3D without looking like stretched utter shit.

3DS & Wii u - link 3DS virtual console & Wii u virtual console game purchases.

Not happening, third party publisher will not let it happened. It means less profit.

3DS & Wii u - stream 3DS to Wii u so play games on TV from 3DS.

3DS doesn't have hardware capability to compress video real time. Even if does have such capability game looks ugly thanks to 400 x 200 resolution. Ever played Wii version of Final Fantasy Echoes of Time? If not try it because that's how DS game will look like on TV, painful to human eyes.

Wii u - file management/local media player app for media on SD card or USB drive/HDD
3DS - file management/local media player app for media on SD card.

Not happening on USB side since Wii U uses proprietary encrypted partition with one purpose, to prevent homebrew. SD card is only accessible under vWii. 3DS is too weak to be a media player, since it doesn't have hardware capability to decode video.

Wii u - Wii u app that allows blue-ray/DVD/CD playback.

Not happening due to Wii U not adhering to Bluray and DVD certification standards. It doesn't have separate digital audio out, drive ain't capable of validating AACS license key used in Bluray, and it isn't licensed officially on many things used in DVD and Bluray.

The only way it's going to happened is if Nintendo release a separate Bluray player, like how Microsoft did it with HD-DVD player with X360. Separate digital audio out will either need to on this separate Bluray player or additional accessory capable of stripping audio from HDMI.

but Sony does it correct? things change over time this would be in favor of the customers.

actually this of how DS & 3DS games would look on TV. these are with capture cards tho. i was speaking more on using the 3DS 2.4ghz WiFi chip to stream to the Wii u via WiFi. the gamepad method.

that's why i said an update, future partitions would more open to drag files on, on the USB drives, & SD card would not be limited to vWii. (there was an update that brought wii u gamepad streaming during vWii) & wouldn't the 3ds youtube/hulu/netflix/& camera be coincided video compatibility? if people can make homebrew file management apps foe DS then i'm sure the 3DS can handle an official one from eshop.

screw license that's why a 3rd party dev makes it lol & put all the fancy logos on the app when booting up. :P
way i see it tho, Wii was able to read DVD via homebrew, & people swear the Wii couldn't play DVDs, so nothings impossible just would need some looking into.

hmm that was an idea too. but who would release it Nintendo? Phillips? or maybe this. Nintendo releases an update that allows you to connect USB blue-ray drives to Wii u.

Sony did it for selected games with selected publisher. You are proposing for all VC to be linked. Not all publishers are going to jump on this.

Actually, Nintendo is a public company. Anything short of licensing is a violation and Nintendo will get sued if it doesn't bring DVD + Bluray support via proper implementation. But to bring DVD and Bluray would mean paying licensing fee to boards behind them, and Sony is a board member. Nintendo doesn't seem to want to pay competition.

Also regarding 3DS streaming, it does NOT have the ability to compress video real time, which is needed in wireless streaming. That 3DS TV out uses uncompressed streaming over wire. You cannot do uncompressed streaming wireless.
