Just copied the new laucher, trying to update the emuNAND 6.3 to 7.1, always getting error after a while, the system must restart.

Anyone having the same issue?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not going to be possible. EmuNAND 6.0+ doesn't use <6.X savegame keys, rather it uses the wrong keys. And no work around is possible while sysNAND is at firmware 4.1-4.5

Is that going to be an issue for every single time you perform an update (assuming they never get the right keys like one would realistically expect)?

Basically, if I want to play pokemon online, I'll have to start over at every update because the save is gonna get corrupted? Do I get this correctly?

Might be a noobish question, but how do I install Pokemon X/Y patch 1.2? I went into the eShop after launching X/Y once but it didn't offer me the patch.

With the Save System there are no Keys needed. Right now they Write Saves with a Offset from 4.X what I understand but 6.X uses "New" offset for Keys. So they need to change only the way how to save to add the new Offset.

Anyway Pokemon Bank will work nearly 100% because if you watched the Images you see that Pokemon Bank is runned from X/Y Directly so there will be a 1.3 Patch witch add the "Pokemon Bank"

When I said EmuNAND 6.0+ used the wrong keys, I meant the KeyY generated was invalid.

Spoiler: Techy explanation

The algorithm for generating the KeyY for FW6.0+ savegame crypto, makes use of a KeyY set-up by NATIVE_FIRM at boot. This KeyY set-up by NATIVE_FIRM makes use of an RSA keyslot which is cleared once a CXI (Like NS or Home Menu) is loaded. However only NATIVE_FIRM from firmware version 6.0.0 and above, will set-up this KeyY. When a system with SysNAND 4.1-4.5 launches EmuNAND 6.0.0+, the KeyY slot created when the 6.0.0+ NATIVE_FIRM loads is incorrect, because the required RSA keyslot has by that stage been cleared.

There is no way to dump this KeyY keyslot, or the required RSA keyslot via software means.

So with EmuNAND 6.0.0+ the KeyY for 6.0.0 savegame encryption will be wrong but it will be consistently wrong. Which for you means, that 6.0.0+ saves made in EmuNAND 6.0.0+ will always work on EmuNAND 6.0.0+, even if you update pokemon. You just won't be able to use that save on SysNAND 6.0.0+ systems.

if it's an update of the eshop, it should be safe. if it's for the 3ds for some reason, don't do it!

One person says yes the other says no, which is it. Has anyone updated their emuNAND and had an update for eshop and done the update. Pretty sure I done this with the previous emuNAND but cannot remember, just want to be sure

That is weird...you are on the most recent firmware that's for sure. I can access the eShop just fine on the same FW
