I wonder if multi-rom support involves putting the roms onto the SD card and when you pick a rom from the GW launcher, it does an image write to the microsd card in the gateway.
no, it won't. In that case, they likely wouldn't need a firmware update and they have said one is required.

I guess the pokefans that didn't buy the game are disapointed. I don't care that much about multirom at the moment, actually what I most wanted was support for EmuNAND on 7.0, a fix for the save issues and (something that I hope will be included in the beta) the ability of softresetting the console without being kicked from emuNAND.

How about other gw users?
They are always expecting multi-rom and pokemon x/y, which have been promised by gw team for many times.
They choose gw just because of these promises.
Now,they can do nothing but get disappoined with this update.

lol What a tragic drama, seriously...

I hope these "gw users" you are talking about have something else to do with their lives that being disapointed for the delay of multiROM support on a already fully functional flashcard.

Can we call it a lie if it is delayed for many times?

This is the first time it was actually delayed from an official vague ETA, I guess they didn't put this ETA on their website for these kind of reasons. By the way, are you disappointed of this? *pats on the back* don't worry, it will be released at some point.

Guys are extreme Lazy to need Multi Rom? Don't understand lol. Take exact 2 Minutes to write a ROM ... WoW that is long.... NOT

I'm not disappointed with it at all.
I have not any piracy tools.

But it's sure that the gw users are very disappointed with it.
In the end, it should not be declared ready too long before the releasing point.
You'll be called a liar if you can not carry out your promise in time, all right?

So, you are desperately asking for someone to say Gateway is lying? well, there you go.

One thing i don't understand about all this is the prioritising of 7.0 support above stabilising the current beta release and also the multirom feature. I know some tempers would prefer to stroke their pokemon above and before having multirom but it's seems like Gateway are putting a roof on a house without finishing the foundation. Unless i'm missing something? Someone enlighten me.

Having EmuNAND without support for 7.0 is pointless. Basically, the point of emuNand is to allow access to the eShop and enable commercial games' online play. Without support for 7.0, that feature is broken.

the porting of the Gateway patches to 7.0 is likely *way less effort* than getting the card2 type games and multirom working, so they are kind of doing that "in between". nothing really strange about it. unlikely to delay card2 type games and multirom much anyway.

hardly pointless, + what if your not into online play? i'd rather have a stable release tbh.

I'm on my iPad now, so I'll have to post the pic later, but my response from Gateway was as follows:

It is separate.
Final 2.0 is around Christmas and will have all the final features.

Hi. TwinFami from YouTube again. Listen, I see that you have a b2 coming out
for 2.0 in the next few days. Is this separate or is this THE Christmas update
with NAND Saving and Multi-Rom support?

If it is indeed separate, will we still get the Christmas update with the
NAND Saving and Multi-Rom or is that being pushed back further?

Please let me know ASAP as I have subscribers asking me from my Gateway
videos and people on GBATemp wanting to know as well.

I'll have the proof pic as soon as I can get on my PC.....

Mmm... so they are going to release 2 launchers with around 10 days of difference in between?? That's really weird...
