Hi everybody !

I just updated the EmuNAND to 6.3 with my normal 3DS and I just used the 2G SD card witch was originally in my 3DS.

My question is :

Is it possible in the future to change this SD card and use a bigger one without messing up the SystNAND, the emuNAND please ?

Is there any way to do this on windows without virtualbox? It takes up too much space to install linux just for this.

i want to set up emunand on my launch 3ds w ambassador ,i plan to put in a fresh SD card when i do it ,4gb probably ,so after i format the emunand ,then how should i go about getting my ambassador games back on the real 4.5 nand? is this even possible? or do i just have to deal with having everything seperated on 2 sd cards?

or can i just take the newly formatted 4gb emunamd card out and then copy the whole 2gd sd to the 4gb sd and then hopefully win7 will ask if i want to overwrite or merge existing files and folders then i can merge them

but will this work?

will i then have my ambassador on 4.5 real and my blank new formatted 6.3 emunand on the single 4gb sd working?

You don't need to use a fresh SD card and then everything will work fine.

If not then you can just copy everything from the 2GB to the 4GB. It's still the same NAND which means all the games will work, it's just been updated.

Back up your NAND first using the NAND backup function in GW mode, before you do ANYTHING ELSE, then wait for someone who actually owns an Gateway to answer, I don't have one yet, however just make sure you have the NAND backed up so in case something happens you can ALWAYS (unless Nintendo changes something)go back .

Actually yes there is a way!

DD for WINDOWS
link borrowed from another project on my blog, just use the dd.exe file!

Thank you! I tried using this program but it still leaves unpartitioned space at the end just like win32diskimager. I used the command

dd if=g:\backup.3ds of=\\.\s: bs=64k

P.S.: There is nothing I can do with the unpartioned space in windows disk management. There are two of them, one before the GATEWAYNAND partition and one after.

oh and you might want to use a bigger blocksize, might speed the process up (although this depends on quite a lot of factors).

but if i format the original 2gb sd with my ambassador games then wont it erase everything on the sd card? the games will be erased no? even if the tickets remain ,then how could i redownload them to my sd to use on my real 4.5 nand since i wont be able to get on eshop on 4.5
