This is all off topic...
...
By the way, error 404 for the source code posted by spacepimp in Maxternal's thread.

edited those links, thanks for the heads up
To simplify the menu... get rid of plugins for 1 game (grim etc...) Who knows, maybe there will be other plugins...
Love that last bit :) - I might give Bermuda Syndrome another try - Just with regard to one-game-plugins, AbdallahTerro, could I suggest a Misc Button? In effect, putting all the single game engine magic numbers, and covers , in one coverflow?
I was thinking about doing one for the sourceflow, but it would be cool if we could reach a consensus about how we were going to do it. Or shall I just do it and you can include it in the source_menu if you like it.
p,.s. loving the 2d internet bookmarks button :)
p.p.s - I really haven't had any issues adding an extra page to the source_menu, or the sourceflow, just in case you were still considering that as an option...

I personally like the combined gameboy option, at least until multiple sources is implemented in the sourceflow ;), but I agree. New sources should come before this kind of duplication, certainly. But I have to stress that adding a couple of pages doesn't seem to have any stability implications.
The ideal solution would be to change your default engine from within wiiflow settings, maybe even change the engine on the fly when launching a title, but this would allow for one source per console. It's certainly cleaner.

So I just need to replace either PC-Engine or TG-16 on page 2 with SuperGrafx.
Is there a separate SuperGrafx plugin or WiiMednafen can do the trick?
As for the duplicates, yes I know that I have VBAGX and Gambatte and separate GB, GBC and GBA but I don't feel very pressured to add a new page, I can still replace 2 or 3 icons (the retros) on the last page if something new comes out.

Just got this plugin setup to test it out. Nice work, it's definately nice having the flash game sites all bookmarked!

Anywhoooz, if anyones interested, I grabbed the audio from the Internet Channel and converted it to .ogg format for use with the plugin. If you want it, you can grab it here.

Yes I agree, those flash games websites should be part of this plugin, pimpy are you listening? :)

Those flash game websites are already part of this plugin, Abz, have you looked? ;)
p.s. I thought I had a little time before you uploaded the new masterpiece pack?!?!
mastershoes, Nice one for grabbing that audio, I'll upload a new pack with a few more links later today - I'll set up the audio for the plugin in that new upload.

Added V.2 link to original post.
by default you can add the missing covers to the default theme by using default naming i.e. (magicnumber.jpg) in either \WiiFlow\boxcovers (full) or \WiiFlow\covers (front)
tried this in the bocover folder
sLMMa0F.jpg

named "70657261.jpg"

It didn't work - is there a change i need to make in an .ini somewhere?

It worked!, I'd put it in the wrong folder!

pimpy I didn't have time to check all the urls yet but I see some news websites in the pack.
personally I prefer to keep it just the game websites there.
I'll remove the non-gaming links and covers on my next update.
P.S> if you agree please update the pack and add more gaming sites if you wish

It is a bit news-heavy, but that will become diluted with more content:) I was thinking about the demise of the news and weather channels - It's actually a surprisingly good experience browsing news from a mobile site, so I added a couple and then got over conscious about offering a diverse spectrum. Also, it was too much of a temptation to offer international/alternative news sources to Americans ;)
I have to stress it's very easy to delete the links you don't want* - and do it from within wiiflow. I think you're second guessing wiiflow users by removing all non flash game links - There's a thread of XFlacks offering internet channel url forwarder wads (where I got the idea for this), and only one or two from pages of requests are for game sites. I have to ask why you were happy to include all the links when you believed there were no flash games - because you asked me to add them! - but now you want exlude everything else - what's changed? I've looked for mobile versions of award winning sites and checked the content works on the wii - a lot of good websites had to be dropped, but you can be assured of the quality.

The whole pack is about a meg, compressed, so why actively remove good content?

Can I suggest at least that you include the game-related sites - the nintendo code book one, IGN, maybe wired? - I was going to add metacritic wii by metascore, maybe wiibrew. Wii news sources are a bit quiet these days, but I'm open to suggestions?

The WAP Review Directory is a genuinely useful resource for browsing with your wii - that most users are unlikely to come across otherwise - it really would be a shame to not share this absolute gem.
The link back to this thread is going to be handy for notifying of updates, offering help and making users aware of the content they're missing. EDIT: Obviously it needs updating!

Alternatively, if it's news you not keen on, how about just removing some or all of the news sources and leaving the rest?

EDIT:
*Also, 'Favourites' is an option for users, obv...
I could also tag the covers with a description of what they are eg. "Flash Games" "news blog" etc...?

p.s That's it for games/ flash content, as far is I know - unless anyone knows otherwise? - I could add any links to single flash games, animations etc to the original post.
p.p.s You haven't mentioned my missing cover! ;)

Abz, please let me know what your decision is, thanks man:)

EDIT: One more thing - Don't take offence, but isn't it a bit patrician to decide what internet bookmarks your downloaders will want?

Flash games Wii news and gaming forums are good.
International political news are not ending up in the pack
Weather and social networks are in a gray zone. Have to decide about them later.
I prefer users making their own url files when it comes to non gaming news. In the end we can t include everything and everyone had his own taste
Edit: if you want you can add the technology websites of international news

I've started with the perspective that it's easier to delete something you don't want than download and install, or create from scratch, something that you do want. You literally can include everything, and then everyone can choose to their own taste.

Glad you've opened up to game sites and tech news - thanks.
I have obviously gone too far with the news - to be honest I just wanted to offer something to view the headlines - but News is inherently regional, and even international news has a regional perspective - so you see my dilemma?
Well - that's the point - there is no dilemma - they're just bookmarks, and it's easy to delete them. If anyone were to add their National news (for example), I'd include it in the pack because there's enough of a market for it for someone to bother doing it and each link is tiny. I'm following your example when I say pretty much all content is viable.
It's your baby and I respect that you have to make an editorial decision about quality and tone, for example, but how about just having, say, the cnn, bbc, and al jazeera front pages - if only for the headlines?
I'll change the bbc link to the mobile news portal if you agree.

I'm thinking of trying to replace my news and weather channels with re-Titled Xflak's opera forwarder wads, pointing at a news and weather site respectively. If it works (i'll be backing up my nand!) I could upload a few options on gbatemp.

Social networks I wouldn't use personally, but there were requests for the links on Xflak's thread. Looking round online for wii content, the second most offered link after flash sites are social networks. I can certainly envision someone having a use for them.

p.s. thanks for the thought about adding the tech sites, but can i ask why you feel this is more acceptable than the front page?

Did we forget something!

Of course! I literally laughed out loud :D
You should upload the cover and url here!
Just one thing about the back cover - I thought it'd be handy to have the url on the back, and all of the covers have followed that convention. Are you ok to replace the generic smallprint and corporate insignia block with the web address? - If you prefer, you could just brighten or fade the text/mid section and have the url in black?
I really dig that you picked a screengrab from the sourceflow for the artwork - to show what the masterpack can do, right? ;)

EDIT: I misnamed the working internet channel link with two .url.url extensions - could you correct it and rename the image too?- i've uploaded a 2.2 update! :D
