If you live anywhere outside the US, you're most likely dazzled by the insane prices of smartphones and their release dates (myself included). Since I want a new phone and I got my scholarship on Friday, I was willing to buy a Nexus 5 (and I don't want to wait 5 years for it to get released here).
Basically, what I want to do is access the Google Play page for the Nexus 5 and order it to my cousin's address, who will be coming here in two weeks or so (and I won't have to pay the crapton of money it needs to get shipped here).
The problem: Google locks their Device part of the Play Store to shitty countries like mine. So when I try to enter the product page, it gives me a message that I can't proceed.
"Oh well, time to load up a proxy", I said to myself and tried at least 20 different US proxies, each of which always ends up getting a "No connection" error.
And I'm sure I'm doing it right, as I've used a UK proxy the same way and it worked without connection issues (albeit with a lot of lag).
Sooo...I have no idea what to do now...
I could always ask my cousin to buy it and send him the money via PayPal, but I'd just rather buy it myself.
Any ideas?
