Assuming that these optics magnify the screen, you're gonna need to hope your device has a fairly high ppi, otherwise you'll be seeing pixels :/

Strange...my second-to-main concern is: who the hell makes all the software? It certainly has quite some potential, but you'll need a processor that can render and display any given program twice. Sounds like a huge-ass task. Let alone other appliances like that augmented google earth view: it ain't gonna happen. The hardware is certainly strong enough, but you won't find anyone stupid enough to code the ENTIRE FREAKIN' WORLD so it will display a landmark over the actual...erm...landmarks.

And my main concern: doesn't this freakin' hurt the eyes? Smartphones weren't designed to be watched at that close angle, and even devices that were deviced for it (virtual boy? that's your cue) were prone to error.

But at least they're with the times: if it can play games, it should be given a retarded name. :P

wtf is that even SUPPOSED to be? VR ace? Virtual Reality Raze? VR Rage? Rase...Raze*? VR aze? Honestly: I have no idea how to pronounce it, let alone get what it is supposed to be getting at.

*yeah, 'raze' is apparently an English word (which I've never heard from). But do I read it correct that it's something like "to demolish, destroy"? Because that way it sure is trying to come up with a shitty name.

There are lenses in the frame in front of your eyes that make the screen appear as though it were at a comfortable distance.

£48 (starting) for a pair of goggles with a smartphone holder is kind of a joke to begin with.
The whole idea is going to fail, just like a majority of smartphone based kickstarters...these are kind of embarrassing, and a good reason why people doubt kickstarter.

I'll stick to waiting for the OR for a real VR experience on a real platform.

EDIT: Also yes the name is also completely horrible...vArse is exactly what it looks like...and exactly what I keep calling it in my head.
