Is there a rival forum for gbatemp? And have there been forum wars in the past?

There was never really an official rivalry between DS-Scene and the temp in terms of a staff on staff rivalry. It was more like members would rage quit from here and announce to the world they where heading there for attention. Other than that I don't think we have had a direct competitor for the last few years for our niche really.

especially when those rare Nintendo Nitro testing carts were released for sale on gbatemp and the scene.....oh the humanity

many cross scene and temp members "scene" accounts were banned during those few weeks
lately they've been good at releases (since the temp did away with it for legal reasons most likely) and hipster music recommendations. the fuck??

Ah yes, and I remember something similar happened to DS-Scene.net too. Crashed and all back ups were gone too, and they essentially had to start from scratch again. Immense blow of course, and let's hope that never happens with GBAtemp.

But yeah, like p1ngpong says, this is quite a niche market so no real competitors.
