My aren't you stupid, I take it you don't read properly *ahem* let me quote my words: ''if you wanna waste a little bit more''
Pretty sure he didn't misread your post. Most audiophiles don't consider Beats to be worth getting at any price range.

Are beats even bad? They're really popular nowadays.
People who get Beats headphones are mainly paying for the celebrity endorsement and the design. The sound of Beats headphones are oriented towards heavy bass, which tends to hurt the sound of every genre that isn't hip-hop or rap.

Still, no need for Seyiji to be a dick about it.

There is a high level of disdain in the audiophile world for Beats audio. On some level, it's deserved. However Beats are not as bad as people make out. I've heard worse in most music. Unfortunately most of my music is Japanese and the heavy bass ruins the singing.
Anyway, whilst BOSE are expensive, they suit my needs. And I won't have to replace it any time soon. Sennheiser or Sony are probably best for low budget headphones.

What the fuck is an earbud? You should know, you just linked to two sets. :P

Those are earphones! In ear ones to be exact...

To me there are only two types of these things, earphones (which go in your ear) and headphones (which go on your head). Of course there are also monitor headphones and IEMs.

My reply was in no way meant to be construed as a dick comment. As YayMii correctly stated in post 21 and elaborated on in post 25 I don't think beats headphone are a good choice because you are paying for the name not the sound quality. Maybe I should have added a :P to reflect that.

Actually, I didn't know the proper word for it in the OP (I originally wrote earphones) and looked it up on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headphones#Earbuds

I don't care about the name either, I just thought beats had great sound quality. Don't think of me as some hipster who buys things because of the brandmark.

I recently bought SkullCandy headphones, not the earbuds for about $40. Really good sound quality, and there are no background noise interruptions.
Works really great when I don't hear sluts at the bus stop, after school, talking about weird shit.

Surprised to see the Audio Technica ATH-M50s haven't been mentioned. Generally agreed upon to be the best sub $200 headphones that beat out Beats (heh) in sound quality. Marques Brownlee has an excellent video (and channel for that matter) comparing them to Beats. I've also heard that Portapros are good sub $100 cans too.
